Hey quekky, if I already have shadowandy's compiled version of Transmission, I only need to replace the configuration file with yours so that the files created will be owned by "nobody"? I'm tired of having to chown everything lol.

Btw anybody encounter a problem with Transmission not fully completing the downloads? It always downloads up to 97~% and claims that its completed even though it itself reports only 97~% is downloaded. Hopefully it'll be fixed in the new version.

my version only works with ffp 0.5-experimental. If you are using other versions the script will NOT work coz it requires some files inside 0.5



if you are using 0.3 or 0.4, edit the funplug.d/start/transmission.sh and replace
nohup ${BINDIR}/transmission-daemon -f 1>/dev/null 2>/dev/null &
with
su nobody -c "${BINDIR}/transmission-daemon -f 1>/dev/null 2>/dev/null &"

1 of it is in green and another one in orange.
both name as dns 323.
any difference between them ?

the orange is cheaper by 15 buck

from the packaging the orange firmware is 1.03 the other is 1.02. but can update firmware yourself to 1.04

some say the board slightly diff, but I dunno what's the diff. Mine is orange and seems to work as well as the rest here having the green box

1) this nas got no limits on the no. of the users accessing it right ?
that mean i can have 14 user accessing the nas at the same time right ?


2) is the any method i am able to password some folders on this nas to allow special user to access them nia ?

Hi, Just bought and setup my DNS-323 and found out there is a new firmware 1.04. Mine current is 1.03. Question is should I upgrade the firmware? Any known problem with 1.04? And can the application compiled for 1.03 can work properly in 1.04? thanks!
