Backup ur data.
DL the firmware from Dlink webby.
Login to admin page of 323.
Click the last tab (if i recall correctly)
then there is a update firmware.....click and browse to the DL file and click update on the 323 admin pag and u will be done.

Also for updates do use LAN instead of wifi....not say cannot be not recommended lah.

I think your DNS-323 and desktop are on different workgroup.

no need to update to 1.07 if you are not using the affected hitachi drive

i am on beta 1.08 and seems stable for the way I use it (only ftp and network access) plus funplug

I just bought a DNS-323.

Installed harddisk, tried to access the web UI to config, blank screen.

Removed harddisk, tried to access again, blank screen.

I tried pinging the device, it responds and I can see the LAN icon blink on the device.

The IP is correct.

Anyone can help?

Tried resetting already and still the same.

Do you have an account with DynDns? If you have an account with DynDns, turn on your DDNS setting on the router, it should work.

Just removed the old drive and pop a new drive into the vacant slot. Now formatting. Fingers crossed.
