If you set the NAS323 IP address to 192.168.2.2 , the PC IP cannot set to 192.168.2.2

Example set PC IP:192.168.2.3

crap after 1 year and 2 months of oninbg 24/7, my 323 shutdown by itself. When I on it, it works for the first time and after a while, it disconnect itself from the network. I have to plug out the power cable to off it as the power button will not respond at all.

Now it keep giving me the blue blinking power of death!

after operating my NAS 24/7 for about a month plus, i decided to relocate from living room to my study room. I switched it off last night and now when i relocate it to my study room, it refuses to start up...

I'd unplug the power cable, took out both hdds and reinsert it back, put back to my living room, still it won't boot up...any advise?:s27:

Kind of getting impatient to my NAS. Feel like jumping ship to other NAS...

When you insert the new 500GB HDD, the DNS323 will format it. If the previous 500GB HDD is inside the DNS323 when you inserted the new HDD, there's a chance that the original HDD with data "may" be formated as well. It's widely reported and it's a firmware issue.

Instead of taking a chance, backup the infor to somewhere first. Verify the backup is ok. Then insert the new hdd and format and re-configure both hdd to your liking eg Raid1 etc.
