i did a back up on of the system setting before upgrade the firmware.
after upgrading the firmware, the settings are still there and didn't wipe out. :s13:

the good thing is they include the scandisk, so that i won't get any data error. :s12:

Got the follwing error after following this guide
http://www.shadowandy.net/2009/01/transmission-142-for-dns-323.htm

403: Forbidden
Unauthorized IP Address.

Either disable the IP address whitelist or add your address to it.

If you're editing settings.json, see the 'rpc-whitelist' and 'rpc-whitelist-enabled' entries.

If you're still using ACLs, use a whitelist instead. See the transmission-daemon manpage for details.

When u get this mostly likely u hvae screwed up the whitelist part. Points to check.

- did u stop transmission before updating whitelist?
- should be ,A.B.C.* and not ur complete IP

chown -R nobody /mnt/HD_a2/.transmission-daemon
chown -R nobody /mnt/HD_a2/Downloads

The first line is the default folder right?

If i want to use my own folder e.g. thanksshadowandy

then i need to key the following correct?
chown -R nobody /mnt/HD_a2/thanksshadowandy

How to remove previous clutch installation?

How to import all my previous torrents from there?

Hi all,

I just got this NAS at the IT Show yesterday. I managed to get it working and transferred a few files from my mbp to the NAS via wireless transfer. However, the transfer speed is a paltry 1mbs-2mbs/s. Is there any settings that I should tweak to improve the transfer speed? Btw, I'm using a D-Link wireless N router and Samsung Spinpoint F2 EcoGreen 1.5TB HDD.

Thanks.

First line is the default folder for transmission to operate in.

2nd is the download folder. You need configure your transmissionbt to download to the folder in the web admin page.

To remove clutch, simply remove the clutch folder which you had extracted the files previously. If you don't need php and lighthttpd. You can use funpkg -r to remove the packages.

Obviously you didn't read the guide. This is covered in the link you provided

Got lah...I did. But what you figure regarding the errors I posted? what when wrong?

You mentioned that everything was well until yesterday and you did nothing. Did the clutch error appear because you attempted to upgrade transmissionbt?

I was BTing then when I tried to access Clutch again i got all the error I posted. I was then still running on Clutch0.4 and Transmission 1.22 then i read the post and used transmission 1.91 which is integrated.

The later is working but I just dunno why 1.22 and clutch0.4 decided to lock me out? I think my chance of recovering the incomplete BTs are near impossible?

Just hit me and I dunno why...never install or do anything...have been doing the same since using ur guide since 2008.

Thanks for replying...over ur site cannot post comment already izzit?

Anyone can get the AIO printers to scan through DNS 323?

My AIO is Canon MP160
Print i think sure can. But the other functions like scan...will not work.

Need to check Dlink webby for the compatiable list of printers. Which is dated way way back.

Is your notebook next to the access point? At maximum, you should get about 8-10MB/s.

For some blog posts, the comment option has expired. Actually, if you are using the same download folder after upgrade. Your incompleted torrents should be shown too.

Anyway, have updated the guide to install transmission 1.92.

Following ur guide the follwing line will mean all the BT files will be saved to /mnt/HD_a2/transmission-downloads right?

Type the command “su nobody -c “mkdir -p /mnt/HD_a2/transmission-downloads”“
Type the command “transmission-remote 127.0.0.1 -w /mnt/HD_a2/transmission-downloads”
There would be a message like success

So only can create another folder inside /mnt/HD_a2/transmission-downloads if /mnt/HD_a2/newfolder possible?
I seem to get permission denied.

Then KyleK said STOP transmission then do the following (stop or start first to do this?)
chown -R nobody /mnt/HD_a2/.transmission-daemon
chown -R nobody /mnt/HD_a2/Downloads

where "Downloads" is replaced by "newfolder"?

Last time is saved to \\DLINK-C8E59B\Volume_1\torrents
But now is /mnt/HD_a2/.transmission-daemon...when i change to the old folder i get access denied. Need to add some command line?

Back to the issue to old torrents which are not completed. I see the "Resume" folder inside have the resume file. If I copy them over to the new "Resume" folder inside .transmission-daemon the torrent will resume? then the saved files also need to be moved? Otherwise transmission dunno where the remaining files are ya?:s22:

Sorry so long...but the more I toy with it the more blurr I become.
Thanks very much for ur time.

OK i copied all the resume files and I copied all the torrents over. When I open transmission the old files not there.

But when i open one uncompleted torrent it resumes from where I last stop!

But the problem is i need to reopen the torrents one by one. Can one shot open all?
