I think it's all about luck, opportunity n hard work.

The most important in work is follow the right boss so that he can nourish you and both of you promoted together.

If you don't have this kind of boss, it's very hard for you to go higher unless you climbed over your boss to his boss to prove to him that you can be a better subordinate than your boss.

So another way is finding better opportunities elsewhere but that's also depending on your luck and pr.

People say I'm doing ok n progressing. But I think I'm terrible. The more people praise me good job or say wow this is amazing the more I feel terrible. Many say I want too much and am too critical to myself. But idw recently the self loathing is getting worse.

For the first few years of moi career, i work like a dog, daily 12h as a software engr to deliver projs after projs

Do until i numb until year 8 then i became a team lead, then can chill abit

How do y'all navigate work and do y'all find work tough?

I never enjoy working no matter which job, from the bottom of my heart I hate the idea we need to be at work just to exchange money and be nothing but a 牛马

But for survival, just have to deal with it yet is been 10 years I'm nowhere near promising and I feel ashamed of myself.

Also, honestly seems like doing well and promoting is really not as easy? Most people around me are also just doing average. (Maybe caz you are who you mix with, so I no chance mingle with people who are doing extremely well since I belong to behkan)

What y'all think?

No job is easy. If you wanna get promoted, work hard to prove your capability. If you just want a paycheck every month to pay bills and live within means, do enough to survive. The world's quite fair. Not happy at your job? Quit and find another suitable one.

As long as it's 人为, it means it's not the main key factor anymore.

Take for example. CR7 wake up 4am to start training, you cannot meh? It's you want or not. But he taller then you, can jump higher then you, you train how much also cannot change that. That's 一命 to me.

二运 he born at a time where Messi is like his only real rival, if he was born some decades back, he might have just ended up as a very very good player rather then the GOAT many look to him as today.

The above was spoken not as a FS master or knowledgeable person. It's just my layman interpretation. I think i just able to believe that doing direct physical attributable actions is far more reaching to success then.... i dunno, places some colour cystals in a certain way or having to place ur bedroom at a certain angle.

Is been 5 months, no one in the dept actually even ask me out for lunch. Everyone here is just in their own clique own world. Everything here is KPI KPI KPI, yet I'm trying so hard but I just dk how and I really need help. I'm just nothing but a machine to produce. No one cares how I feel, how I'm coping. And I thought people who are helpful now seems to me just trying to fuyan and drawing big picture for me only. Everything is bad. 1 shxt hole after another. Idk how long I can take it. I have not have a good job for a long, 1 offer is getting bad to worse. And this is the 3rd. I really don't think I can take it anymore. Each time I'm trying to get better things just keep happening. I really regret for staying alive 2 years ago and that lp gas didn't explode.
