Hi guys, i'm a total noob when it comes to DIY computers and was thinking of buying a computer either from Dream Core or After Shock for casual gaming like dota 2 or diablo 4 when it is finally out.

I was thinking of getting this from Dream Core: Tier 1 (Intel) Intel Core i5-10400F + GTX 1660

The specs are:

Intel Core i5-10400F
– MSI B460M Pro-VDH Wi-Fi
– Intel Stock CPU Cooler
– 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4-2666MHz High Performance Memory
– MSI GTX 1660 Super Ventus XS OC
– 512GB Samsung NVMe M.2 SSD R:3500 W:2900
– On-Board Wi-Fi & Bluetooth Included
– 3 x 120mm Addressable RGB (ARGB) Fans
– 600W 80Plus Rated PSU
– Dreamcore Ghost v3.0 Chassis Clear Edition

Any guidance on whether this will be sufficient will be much appreciated! I bought a prism X300 in case this is relevant.

tried the 1st 3 on your list, but most either with long delays or no stocks, with the 3rd one being the worst imo, super slow responses, waited almost a week for them to reply me no stocks. went carousell for alternatives and found one which has quick response and the parts i wanted.

was initially skeptical but end up they got gd rep on caoursell and they're PC vendor themselves. got the setup 2 days later. intro'ed another friend who got his setup next working day. not affiliated to em but if u're comfortable with carousell alternative, do pm me.

Carousell is dangerous. Avoid if possible. Visit the shops @ Sim Lim Square or online reputable sellers.

Bumping this thread as I looking to purchase a rig from dreamcore as the dream builds are decently priced.

however many parts are from Patriot brand and I dont see this brand in SLS price list usually. Are the PCs reliable in general ?

Anyone had experience with buying from them ?

Please remember pre built have their margin so will use any parts they deem fit, so if uncomfortable just move on unless die die must to specific brand use

There shouldn't be any worry about the reliability of the parts since they are standard ones available on the market.

Patriot is like budget brand. It's not widely available in sg probably because the margin is too low for the distributor or retailer to care to sell it. Also competes with their other branded ram. Dreamcore has enough volume to be able to source it though.

Just my observation, I don't own dreamcore pc but I have friends who bought from them and didn't hear any complaints.

They even came onsite quickly at night when they realised their installer missed installing my ssd after my desktop was delivered.

So no complaints really!

Yes they charge for delivery ($25 if I remember correctly for weeknight delivery). Their location is not the most accessible and parking near the building is very limited so keep that in mind.

They were also quite easy and flexible to deal with in my experience. There were some parts that were out of stock so they proposed alternatives. Haven't had any issues with the PC so far.

I just bought from dreamcore in Dec. Their cable management is good and are generally OK to help u put in Yr own pc parts too. I pass them my own ram, aio and fans to install.

Yup MRT there and grabbing back is a good option too. You can ask them to give you the component boxes.

mine for delivery they provided the cpu, gpu, MB and case boxes

Wasn't aware that they are this flexible. When you pass them the parts, can you wait for them to assemble?
