Hi EJB, what is the difference between digital hygrpmeter in the AD series and the digital humidity controller in the DHC series? Seems to me the AD series is using older technology but I am really not sure the difference.

AD series has a higher inaccuracy percentage up to +6º in humidity measurement. Also AD series needs to have the humidity pre-set before putting in equipment. Eg: Set the dial within the cabinet, let the humidity settle, then adjust again until 45~55 is reached.

for DHC series, the inaccuracy percentage is less, about +3º. Once set a value, the cabinet will start to work towards the humidity level without the need for it to be settled first. You can put in equipment immediately after setting the humidity level.

Digicabi 30L, big enough for 2 DSLR and a couple of normal lens.

For 2 DSLR body & some lens, I find that 30L is kind of small. I am using a 38L one. I got 1 body & 5 lenses already kind of cramp.

My advise is try to get at least a 50L one. Just go & take a look at the space.........;)

60D is not a worthy semi-pro camera anyway and considering that you are paying extra for a "canon" brand why save $ on the "insurance"?

a good dry cabinet is always good to offer that extra protection.

ya... collect all colors you can find and lock in the 100L Dry Cabinet for display...:s13:
since 60D is not a worthy semi-pro camera, i think the dry cabinet can insure you have the best picture even lock and forget the cam in it!

Would recommend the DHC one. I got it for my initial Canon 550D purchase. If your budget doesn't allow for the DHC cabinet yet, go for the cheap cheap dry box + silica gel for a few weeks first, then get the DHC. :)

Doesn't matter if your equipment is beginner/semi-pro/pro, take care of your gear and your gear will take care of you. ;)

not sure if Carrefour carries the DHC series but they do display the AD series. For those buying there, make use of the POSB Everyday card to earn the 5% rebate.
