As an alternative to the Bosch, you might want to consider the Stanley STEL680 blower. Probably not built for professional use, and with lower specifications (eg. 3.5 M3/M instead of 4.5 M3/M for the Bosch), but also at less than half the price. And, there's a dial so that you can reduce the power (rather than half-pressing the trigger, with the Bosch).

For general dusting and leaf blowing purpose, I still recommend getting the stanley blow, less than $50 from Horme:

The only thing is that it is so cheap (less than half the price of the Bosch) there is no free delivery.

Are you expecting a video review or what?

As I mentioned above, it pushes 3.5 m3/min instead of the Bosch 4.5 m3/min. This might matter if you really need the power to blow leaves. But for general blowing and dusting, it's fine. In fact, I don't use my blower at maximum speed. And the presence of the dial makes it easier for me to get the speed that I like, rather than squeezing the trigger partway.

Other differences in specs:
- 10k rpm vs Bosch's 16krpm. I think it's just a difference in noise? Air flow volume should be what counts.
- Horme also has other brands of blowers, including a china brand that claims 16krpm and cheaper than the Stanley. But lower air flow than the Stanley too?!
- Both Bosch and Stanley are industrial/commercial grade. So should be robust.
- Above, Gymrat76 posted a link to the Stanley blower on Lazada. The deal is gone now, but it was ~ $55 including delivery, sold by Horme through Lazada. But I realised that Lazada offers a $10 voucher if you subscribe to their mailing list. So you might be able to get it cheaper and with delivery, if it comes back in stock again.

I think there would be some differences between the datavac and industrial blowers like Bosch and Stanley.

The datavac comes with attachments that focuses the airflow, that could possibly help with areas that require more finesse and strength, maybe like the PSU or fins of a heatsink. The industrial blowers pack have larger nozzles and appears to move more air. Just not so sure whether they could focus the airflow. Its like spraying water with a open ended garden hose versus a garden hose fitted with a pressure spray.

Size is definitely a consideration given the lack of storage space for those of us living in HDBs

Was thinking of getting the Stanley/Bosch, but in the end may end up getting the DataVac if I can get someone going to the US to bring back for me. No hurry as I've just changed casing

Thanks. I meant buying the 220V version and shipping it to whoever is going to the U.S. for hotel pickup. I do that quite frequently as I have several friends who travel to the u. S. quite frequently. Only consideration is the size of the box, hope not too big!!

No issues with my Case Fan, CPU Fans, GPU fans, PSU fans.
Or ever Normal Standing Desk Fan.

My satki blower clean my CPU fan + Heatsink + GPU fan + Heatsink + PSU fan

No issues at all.

With Sexy Bosch GBL 800E, only need to open side panels.

Yes, this is a valid point. The leaf blowers are fairly bulky.

you will require a 110V to 220V transformer for units purchased in the USA. There is a local distributor for MetroVac products which carries the 220V version.

I never understood why you refer to yourself as a third party. Isn't the local distributor / sole agent for MetroVac products actually ComputerService.sg, which is your business?

I know the blower will work. It's just that there are slight differences.

How to put myself across better.

You seen a car air intake filter? Those K&N type?

Some workshops uses their compressed air and blast it. It's focused enough to dislodge the fine dust trapped (btw, this is not recommended. Will spoil the filter). Or to use it on the engine compartment to blast off the dust which could be somewhat stuck to the various parts. It is somewhat different if blown with a high flow blower.

I have been using vacuum and brush for all the years. May I ask what's the difference with blowing than sucking? Blowing also move the dust and wouldn't it cause static too? Enlighten me haha!

using vacuum will cause static electricity due to the dust particles rubbing against the hose and could blow the caps or other electronics. otherwise Vacuum would be a better choice without the dust flying everywhere haha
Of course you could also suck up the shorting caps etc.
