Hi lolzao, you may want to scroll thru the previous pages when you have the time to get a better understanding of Broadlink RM PRO and how to get it to work with Alexa becos it is still not so straight-forward afterall.

things u can check ,
1. Alexa - broadlink account skill enabled & linkup already ?
2. which APP u using to control RM RPO+ ? e-control or IHC ?
3. for e-Control, u need a RM plugin on another always-on Android device setup.
4. for IHC, u need to make a 'tv template' for ur RF on/off for Alexa to discover.

Haha, no worries.

If u only have one gang rf switch, r u using alexa or google-assistant to control it? If yes, u will need a remote, and rmt02 is just fine too.

If u r not exploring voice control over ur rf switch, u do not need the physical remote pairing if u using e-control app as e-control app can dl a remote template uploaded by kind souls. Yea

As for ihc app, im not sure about the dl template, so if ihc doesn't have the uploaded template, den u need rmt02 to pair to the livolo rf switch as livolo doesn't have default Template in broadlink, unlike broadlink own tc2 switch template.

So the equations are,
1. e-control app with voice = need remote
2. E-control app only = no need remote
3. Ihc app only = need remote(assuming ihc doesn't have dl remote template)
4. Ihc app with voice = need remote

Hmmm...actually think I don't need a remote because I'm running the rm plugin on a spare Android tablet, which will let me use Alexa with any command in the e-control app.

I'm still having issues with my ihc app ref earlier post

"Recently I experienced issue with my ihc to control broadlink tc2 3 gang switches. It seems all my 3 gang tc2 switches it shows "unable to obtain product profile". When i tried to delete the switch and add new tc2-3gang switch, it say network connection not stable or weak. When I tried to add other 2 gang or 1 gang tc2 switch it's fine? Anyone experience same issue got any solution? It was working very well few days ago."

Nobody else facing same issue as me ar?

Some how if you say ok Google turn off lights . All my lights device will be turn off . My lights all got each unique name like kitchen , hall , toilet assigned. only at Google can do that , Alexa cannot do this and my lights via ihc must be a TV remote object for Alexa to recognise So some how I using more n more of Google nowadays .. Only reason I still use Alexa because I can do calling video in or drop in to the house via my mobile .. until Google Home link up to duo app my Alexa echo spot will be in my studying room for sure

I’m using Google Home + IHC now.
New IHC not able to learn RF on Lamp category. Only IR.
For YooGee, I bought the extra RF remote and learn the RF on IHC user defined group.
Then create scene for xx lights. But can only say “Hey google, turn on the xx lights but can’t say turn off the xx lights cause it is scene.
Need to create another name for off scene and say “on this xx scene” to off the lights.
Only using lamp category can say the on/off without creating any scene.
Tested with another IR LED on it.
Also added Chromecast Ultra to playback YouTube and Spotify. Plus it will control my 9Y.O Philips TV using HDMI CEC. Nice!

Overall the solution working fine but not perfect. But it is most cost effective smart home system. Happy with it! :)

Hi, i have oso setup google-Assistant on my phone to try out the commands to control my lights and stuffs. i will say Google seems better at he 'listening' part... . i oso encountered the issue when Google hear the cmd "turn on lights" all my setup in IHC as lights template will be triggered, it was a disaster. LOL.

most of the time im still using Alexa to turn off everything when going to bed, or bedroom lamps when about to sleep.

Hi all! I'm getting my bto keys soon and I'm keen to diy my own smart home with the following gadgets. Can anyone advise if I missed out anything and recommend anywhere I can read up with some step by step on how to set up?

1) yoogee or livolo switches for lights/shower heater/kettle/fan
2) broadlink RM+ for TV/sound system/fan speed/Aircon
3) Google echo & echo dot for voice control. (Normally how many echo y'all using?)

I'm still trying to figure out how to link them all. Also understand that electric bill might increase due to all the smart switches. Anyone know how significant is the increase?

Sent from Xiaomi MI MAX 2 using GAGT

There are 3 type of broadlink TC2 switches. UK, US and EU. Do take note on the type before buying them.

There's also this eTouch TC2 Broadlink switch out there. Specs abit diff but looks the same as tc2, but the logo is written 'eTouch'.

It does have a single gang which is 20amps that can take care of your water heater.

One of my Yoogee switch spoilt within 2 months. The relay will not latch, the light just flicker when on or off. I really worried about the quality of this swtiches now. 2 others also behaving weirdly suddenly it will flicker on its own and lost the pairing.

My Broadlink S2 the speaker also has a crackling sound after using for almost 2 months, sometimes its also not activating my snesor to turn on or off the lights not sure if its the broadlink or yoogee switch. So far I think only xiaomi product are reliable, the rest are really questionable.

Tc2 with AC170-250V cannot use in Singapore?
I see some people on carousell selling.
Singapore voltage is 220/240v so should be usable right?
