My relay function also failed but 433 MHz remote control still works . The relay function kinda unstable . I now using Yoogee remote to control it . So now my switch ‘s relay function permanently dead but I still left it there as the rest of the functions still working .

One of my Yoogee switch spoilt within 2 months. The relay will not latch, the light just flicker when on or off. I really worried about the quality of this swtiches now. 2 others also behaving weirdly suddenly it will flicker on its own and lost the pairing.

Faults lies at Google Home ‘s broadlink service .. I think they tried to fixed bugs , so if you want to resolve the issue you need to do something with the Google Home settings , reset n reinstall . Sighz , my 20 devices need to resetup again

Worst part is reverting to old version of app somehow doesn't solve the issue.

Hi. Home automation with Broadlink RM: Has anyone tried controlling a remote controlled stand fan in a way that the state of the fan on/off, speed (1,2,3), and swing mode are maintained correctly? Problem is when the fan is controlled by hand (pressing the buttons on the fan) - the home automation (HomeKit) is not able to sync with the settings of the fan that was changed by non-remote operation. For example if the fan was turned on by hand, and then the home automation (using broadlink RM) wanted to turn-on the fan by sending power key, instead of the fan turning on, it turns off instead. Would be good to hear from others about how they overcome this challenge.

Usually standing fan uses 1 signal for incremental speed. I would use defined scene to off, then set speed (IE. Speed 2 = off, speed, speed).

Hi infernolord, I bought my first TC2 locally and then the next 4 from TaoBao. The Taobao ones come in a brown package box more for their local market. The locally purchased one has a more decent looking package. All 5 of my TC2s works well so far. Noticed that the capacitors provided are different between the two lots. The china ones look cheaper. I "guai guai" installed the capacitor for the first switch/lights. Thereafter, I did not use them but my LED lights did not flicker.

Hi, I just bought about 10 Yoogee switches and 2 of them on the same circuit keep failing.. Do u have a picture of how you wire up the capacitor? Yoogee doesn't come with a capacitor but the tech support did ask if I install one.

Broadlink TC-2 and Rm pro not working.

Hi I have installed tc2 and rm pro and it works via the app but it doesn't work when I set up a scene for the tc2 lights to turn on. is there a reason why?
I can turn it on and off via the buttons but I want to set up a scene to use it on my google home. The light Scene doesn't work in the app itself nor the google home. The funny thing is I have set up a scene for my fan and it works in the app and in the Google home but just the light scenes don't work I have no idea why. Can anyone help? :) thanks!

The latest ihc app is unstable and shitty. The best solution for now is to roll back to pervious version of the ihc app for doing the setup before updating.

You need to install ver. 1.9.0.3931 (26 Oct 2017) of the IHC app. Use that app to pair back your tc2 lighting with the rm pro. Once paired, you should see
the switches interface as "pop-up" not the latest orange and white interface.

Once you done with the setup, you can update to the latest app. You can create the scene and use it.

Example for Living Room Light Scene

Scene 1
Scene Name = LRL Up
LivingRoomONLivingRoom

Scene 2
Scene Name = LRL Dwn
LivingRoomOFFLivingRoom

To make use of google assistant/google home, you need to link to the broadlink account with 1 more extra step. You need to create shortcuts to make use of voice commands.

Example of Living Room Light Voice Control

When i say...
Turn on Living Room Light

Google Assistant should do
Turn On LRL Up

When i say...
Turn off Living Room Light

Google Assistant should do
Turn On LRL Dwn

After trying out so many methods and troubleshooting. this method works best for me. Well until google and boardlink resolves their "handshake" issues, this is the only methods for now. I nv try on Alexa cos i dont own echo dot.

You just need to do the shortcuts settings on google assistant via android phone. Set the language as English (US). Not the Google Home app.

It depends on the design of the fan control itself. Most ( if not all ) of them are designed to just receive a command from the remote without a need to transmit a feedback to the original manufacturer remote. This is especially so when the on/off command on the remote is using the same button. You will have better chances if there are different buttons for on and off. There will be exceptions like my aircon controller .... one button for on/off but the output signal is different for on command and off commands.

Wish i could help but the forum settings states i am too junior to attached pics or links. I did try but without success.

I took a pic earlier and then decided to remove the capacitor to see if there are any flickers but it was fine. In another post I read, apparently there will be chances of flicker for LED lights if its 3W or under ... rare for a ceiling light.

There is another pic online showing how the capacitor is installed, it is connected to the L and L1 at the back of the wall switch ... instead of at the LED which I did.

Capacitor is installed on the Live and Neutral wires on the ceiling light itself to prevent flickering if the light wattage is too low.

Putting the capacitor on the switch L and L1 can be dangerous. The current is stored on the capacitor and can send current to the body when you change the bulb in future. Do take note on this.

IHC apps issue? Help pls

Hi guys,

Any of you having the "no permission" error from IHC apps?

I'm getting this error since earlier today. I'm not able to add, delete or modify devices at all.

I had tried install IHC apps in IOS and Android and both the same. Reset the Broadlink RM pro, created new account for IHC... all giving me "no permission" error. I'm wondering whether it's the apps issue? :s11::s11::s11:

Thanks guys

Encountered same issue here. Last night gallery icon missing so can't do anything recording/Learning of IR or RF. Today worse, can't even remove or add. Did you see any icons if you learn and add a button?

I am using dyson fan.
It has
- power on/off.
- Fan Up
- Fan down
- Fan spin
etc

If the fan is off
- Fan up, Fan down, Fan Spin will turn it on

If the fan is on
- Fan up, Fan down, Fan Spin will do that it suppose to do

So the trick here
If fan is unknown state, and I want google to turn on fan
...I could use any of Fan up, Fan down, Fan Spin...since non of them will turn it off

If fan is unknown state, and I want google to turn off fan
...I could start with with one (Fan up or Fan down or Fan Spin) then triggered a power on/off which will guarantee a final off state. (using scene in ihc)

Hope that helps.
