Anyone using rm pro with s1 hub? There are times when my motion sensor or the door sensor won't trigger the lights, especially after long periods of inactivity. Anyone facing the same issues?

anyone? Does S2 work better?

Dear all,

Will RM pro be able to control any generic RF smart switch via RF 315 through the IHC app?

I read from somewhere here that broadlink econtrol app is only compatible with certain brands of switches.

Thanks.

I replaced all switches in the house during reno. Each bedroom for example already has 3 switches to control my cove light, downright and ceiling fan.

Power, can you post pictures on the lightings and switches?

Hi All, just got my new BTO and was wondering if it would be wise to get the electrician to pull the neutral wiring for all the socket, spoken to some and they have no idea what I am talking about.:s11:

Or should I just stick with RF switches?

For DIY project, you can just do without the neutral wires. Just swapped out the current switches with smart switches. There will not be any indicator on the app to tell you if the switch is on or off. I overcome it by installing ip camera on my hse so i can see if the lights physically.
In future if you want to sell the hse, you can swapped back to the original switches and install the same system over to the new hse.

Pulling the neutral wiring giving you an extra function of indicator. You require an electrican to do the wiring for you. (Additional cost)

Depends on your setup, devices, switches and budget. Different requirements require different setup. Hope that explain it.

It’s not a limitation on Broadlink side. It’s a limitation by Somfy. Even though Somfy remote is 433mhz, they have encrypted the RF so that it solely works with their own remote or hub. They call this RTS = Radio Technology Somfy which is also = encrypted

In short, you can’t teach rm pro+ encrypted RF

I think i know why. Try download the ihc apk ver. 1.9.0.3931 Oct 2017 and setup your TC2 switches. I had the same prob. Once you done setup, you can update to the latest IHC app. It should work.

Can this be install on iPhone? How to install the lower apk version ? Thanks for advice

I dont use iphone. I dont think you can roll back to previous version without jailbreaking your iphone. Try getting an android device and do the setup. Its account bounded anyway. Once you set it up, you can sign in to IOS and use it.

not sure if it's the same for iphone but on android download APKpure then search ihc once you click in you'll see version history just click on that and find the version you want.

actually tapping off repeatedly doesn't turn on the lights so i don't understand why you need to install an ip camera since you can just tap the all off button to make sure it's off >.< btw i'm using econtrol for the now since i'm abit lazy to setup the voice control for GHM and AED

Recently I reset my rm pro and encounter error when remotely using ihc app. I encounter the message "AES AUTH FAIL, FOR LOCAL DEVICE, SHOULD CALL ADD NEW AGAIN". But when connected to my Wi-Fi there is no issue. Any solution to this? My ihc app is updated to latest version still same.

Another issue is my alexa used to work to control my tv, but i cant get it to work now after resetting the rm pro. Should I reset the Alexa too?

Bro, I tried to delete my ihc, install version 1.9.0.3931. Open ihc and login to my acc, my switches are already inside, other did not appear and indicate old version not compatible and ihc prompt me to update. After update I launch ihc again and tried remote control still not working. Local can. Did I miss any steps?

Ya. You miss the part where you need to remove all previous setup and start relink all the switches using ver 1.9.0.3931. Then update the app.

Lighting? For the smart switches not all lights can be use with it? Sorry I thought that any lights install and connected to the switch can be controlled.

I'm using Broadlink TC2 switches with surface panel LED lightings. Do take note on your lightings that you going to use also.
