Talking about learning fan control buttons...

For FANCO F-Star fans, is Broadlink able to lean all the remote control buttons?
I heard that FANCO remotes aren't always RF 433MHz - is that true?

open the remote control battery compartment, there should be a sticker inside stating the frequency used.

Ok thanks, so it is true that they do use different frequencies for their remote?

Worried now because it seems like the luck of the draw whether the fan can be controlled by Broadlink.

Besides 433MHz, I suppose 315MHz should be fine since Broadlink can learn that frequency too.

Are there other frequencies that FANCO remotes use which will not be compatible with Broadlink?

I bought the RM4 Pro and am honestly kinda miffed by how I have to use scenes to control my RF operated fan. My fan in Google Home cannot show status (I know cannot sync status as my fan doesn't report status) but it's kinda annoying.

you can set time based automations

Problem.. kdk only allow me to adjust the speed of the fan eg: slow > med > fast. Under broadlink app i must manually click the "speed" button 2 x if i want the fan to go from slow to high. And from high to med i have to press the "speed" button 2 x to go from high > slow > medium. The broadlink could not learn the signal for each speed.

PO Eco fan? You only using the Smartlife app for that? Why not add it to WYFY.sg app as it can control and link to google home natively. No need to use broadlink for that.
The new app seems kinda clunky.
The Aircon template on off sucks now cause sometimes I want to trigger OFF twice to make sure it's IR blast is received..

No no, I already using smartlife app to control my PO Eco fans, I got one small RF fan that I am trying to use broadlink to control. That fan doesn't have status showing properly in google home and it's a normal thing to have to use scene to control zzz.

Can anybody recommend me a good and reliable touch switch that can link to rm pro. Recently bought some touch switch with RF remote from AliExpress and they didn't last long. Seems like always died soon. Thinking to replace them with better quality ones.

Yeah same here. Remotes used to work fine before and the app crashing problem started recently after the app update. It goes away after restarting phone but for last couple of days unable to open the ac remotes now and keeps giving "unknown error" even if i add a new remote from a backup. Same remote on the RM mini still working fine but RM Pro (both v3 and v4 new version) giving the same issue in different rooms for the same ac unit and remote.

Problem.. kdk only allow me to adjust the speed of the fan eg: slow > med > fast. Under broadlink app i must manually click the "speed" button 2 x if i want the fan to go from slow to high. And from high to med i have to press the "speed" button 2 x to go from high > slow > medium. The broadlink could not learn the signal for each speed.

Maybe the signal is the same and the fan just changes the speed mode in sequence like the string pull type mechanism. You can try to set multiple activation of the button in scheduling to get the required speed if you are not using the remote in between or set it off and set speed from the baseline for schedule. Probably more of a fan setup constraint rather than broadlink issue as thats how your remote works

You can try the other broadlink apps including the latest "broadlink" app but the main issue i faced was that i had too many devices on my wifi already which is something the broadlink devices has issues with and I struggled a lot trying to add both the rm pro and the rm mini. I created a fresh guest wifi network on the same router with 0 devices using it and was able to add the broadlink devices easily after that. Since the guest network was ont he same router, I didnt have any issues using the devices from my main network even though they are connected to the guest SSID. Hope this helps

Does anyone know of any other RF controllers in the market that doesn't require me to use routines to control stuff? I am quite annoyed by Broadlink app and the need to using routines as a workaround to control my wall fan.

Hey guys, anyone can recommend a switch that is able to report its state? Else a switch that has different off and on commands? Currently using the old TC switch and livolo.. Livolo generally looks nice and I like the click sound.. However TC is more useful as it has a separate command to off and on unlike Livolo

RF Switches dont report state change. So no switch that work with broadlink has that. You'll need wifi, zwave or zigbee switches and the respective hub/apps

Hello.. is it possible to have the RF Door Sensor without the Alarm Kit. For Broadlink?

I realised Sonoff system can do it...

The door sensor is just $6.. but the whole kit is super expensive
