What about Singapore?

In a written reply to a parliamentary question posed by retired Member of Parliament Dr Lim Wee Kiak in 2015, then-Environment and Water Resources Minister Dr Vivian Balakrishnan said that the likelihood of an earthquake occurring in Singapore is "extremely low".
low likelihood doesn’t mean no likelihood

If the epicenter was in Johor, rather than an aftershock in Sumatra, it would mean that the tectonic plates had moved and an earthquake would have occurred in Peninsular Malaysia, including Singapore.
In terms of metrology distance, all these are not too far away.

Sg will use the excuse limited durian due to earthquake dropping the fruits, flowers and trees to justify the increase of durian prices.
