Just wrote to b-mobile on their conflicting shipment instruction on no delivery for weekend. Hopefully they can clarify. Hope the bro and sis here can clarify too.

b-mobile replied saying they wont ship out on a weekend or a public holidays. But the delivery by Yamato can be on weekends and public holidays.

what is the APN setting for eConnect ?

As for b-mobile VISITOR SIM 1GB Prepaid, gathered from other post , the APN setting is
Name b-mobile
APN: bmobile.ne.jp
User name: bmobile@fr
Password: bmobile
Authentication type: CHAP
Don't try to select NTT Docomo or anything.
And force the network mode to WCDMA only.

Anyone used eConnect data sim can provide the setting?

They provide it in the package with e sim and the setting is that of the bmobile

I will be at Osaka for about 9 days.

a) Should I take Bmobile SIM card @ $3980?
Disadvantage - need to order online 7 days prior to arrival. Before I leave Osaka, the SIM card already expire mean I can't use it on my day 6th / day 7th.

Advantage - just only the SIM card

b) Wifi package fr Econnect (Wifi-to-go 300K) @ $4,570
Disadvantage - how long can battery last? So many stuff to bring out during sightseeing.

Advantage - can share/use up to 5 devices.

Eh, now I'm confused also, so econnect is use mifi? I just need the SIM card nia lehh so econnect is out for me?

just used the econnect 3G plan. I can say it is very reliable. we travelled from kyoto to osaka and the coverage is very extensive. i can even use it to facetime my friends back home.

picked it up at narita airport post office.

the rental is based on your duration of stay.

I rented this as well. Worked like a charm. And speed is definitely faster than 16.4kb/s. We were watching HD streaming while surfing and chatting without any delay
