hi all ! so first vist to bkk can use egate?

Say liao, don't go ask. When I land in BKK, I ask where is the e-gate, the staff point to the manual Q lol. Anyway, the Q is quite fast. After clear, my luggage haven't come out. I still got time to change sim card![]()

I 5 years didn't go BKK liao, can't rem where is the e-gate. Last year go Chiang Mai transit at BKK but go the domestic side.Say liao, don't go ask.
Just insist to go towards the right for eGate.![]()

Right, but as we all know, Thai's pattern like that one, out of the norm they unable to handle.I 5 years didn't go BKK liao, can't rem where is the e-gate. Last year go Chiang Mai transit at BKK but go the domestic side.

Yes, usually bo lang cause almost nobody knows!yes, towards the right.. where is for the thai citizens..

hanor, actually when i was heading to the custom, i saw two lanes, one is the crowd one the other is a thai lady holding a signboard shows "thai", so i skip that, then went to the crowd laneYes, usually bo lang cause almost nobody knows!
And if know, also kena directed to manual.
Their eGate machiam like white elephant.![]()
Yes, exactly, they have the lanes but do not actively promote so usually nobody will know.hanor, actually when i was heading to the custom, i saw two lanes, one is the crowd one the other is a thai lady holding a signboard shows "thai", so i skip that, then went to the crowd lane
but after 2nd thought i remember you mentioned towards the right, so i approached the lady there and told her i singapore passport, and she let me go through.. then i just blur blur went to the thai lane, then again i was directed to sg/hk lane.. which only allocated two lanes nia but good enough![]()

yalor, no need to see their faceYes, exactly, they have the lanes but do not actively promote so usually nobody will know.
Once use liao, next time can go and save time dealing with the officers.![]()
Then should at identify and direct accordingly. Now they just pushing all to manual counters. lolI think the reason why they refer us to manual counter is because if it is a new passport and has not been used to enter Thailand before, the machine cannot process our immigration entry. The egate is available for HK people too.
I just find it weird we have to click on the screen to apply for entry, unlike other countries where we typically scan our passport, enter the gate, scan our biometrics then move off.
