anyone has issue porting in from simba to eight physical sim via delivery?
i activated the physical sim on 25 July around 9pm, no news on port-in yet.
I activated another eight sim (e-sim) on 25 July around the same time, and port-in for this (for another number) is already completed.

2x physical sim activated @ 26th July, Friday at about 9pm. porting from SIMBA and Changi mobile.

till now, still have not received any SMS confirmation from Eight. both existing SIM still active. wondering is it due to weekend.

anyone know if I can collect simcard over weekend but schedule for the port over on the following Wed ?

or once collected means the next 1 or 2 days have to be ported over already ?
just to confirm, collect sim card day and porting day can be different right?

well im not sure if eight can do that your best choices is to ask those ppl at the service center. but if really cannot means that you will be likely porting on the day you request the number from your current services provider to eight.

Could be delay due to overwhelming response, but looking at your timing I'd say weekend coz already 9pm on a Friday.

went to barrage yday.
there are heaps of people enjoying NDP rehearsal.
tested eight vs gomo.

eight: can complete the speedtest albeit less than 1mbps. 4 out of 5 bars of signal
gomo: could not even connect to the internet. full 5G signal btw

Singtel network too congested, especially their 4G. Is gomo 5G NSA or SA?

My turn to share my porting experience after learning so much from the people here.
I’m porting from Zym to 8.

Yesterday 3pm apply port over at Ubi.
Ard 10+pm, my iPhone shows No Service.
This morning 9am inserted the 8 card and everything is working fine.
Yes, they do porting on Saturday night.

Very smooth porting over process. Everything settled by the friendly boss, on my part only produced my IC and made first payment to him.
No Q, registration settled within 3 minutes 😅😅😅

Has anyone port in from another telco to an existing eight mobile line?

My port-in was unsuccessful and I wondering what other options I can take after emailing the non-existent customer service support for help :ROFLMAO:

Your existing eight mobile line?

Like it's an existing FOC line that you got from them earlier, and now you want to port your line from another telco to eight?

If you already have 2 lines from eight previously, can't do that. You'll have to terminate one line first.

I have an existing ZYM line and the following eight mobile lines:
  • 1 x $0 plan
  • 1 x $8 plan which port-in has failed / unsuccessful

Now i want to re-attempt to port-in from ZYM to my $8 plan from eight mobile

So you want to replace your $8 plan with your own number?

Rightfully I don't think it's possible coz they only allow 2 lines per IC, so you'll have to terminate one line first. Then port in your ZYM line to (choose) an $8 plan.

(I can do that with M1 Maxx, but then they allow more than 2 lines. 4, IIRC.)

Unless you've $ credit in your $8 plan wallet, you can choose to terminate the existing $8 plan and port in your own number to a new $8 plan.

Service center... unless they can do something different (behind the scene), I can't imagine how that's possible...
