So you want to replace your $8 plan with your own number?

Rightfully I don't think it's possible coz they only allow 2 lines per IC, so you'll have to terminate one line first. Then port in your ZYM line to (choose) an $8 plan.

(I can do that with M1 Maxx, but then they allow more than 2 lines. 4, IIRC.)

Unless you've $ credit in your $8 plan wallet, you can choose to terminate the existing $8 plan and port in your own number to a new $8 plan.

Service center... unless they can do something different (behind the scene), I can't imagine how that's possible...

Yup, you are right

I did went down but unfortunately the friendly boss couldn't do anything on his end either

Now just hope that my port-in will somehow be successful (after they check & get back to me) before the next ZYM billing cycle which is just few days away

Is your NRIC really damaged? Cracked, peeling, whatever?

I have an existing ZYM line and the following eight mobile lines:
  • 1 x $0 plan
  • 1 x $8 plan which port-in has failed / unsuccessful

Now i want to re-attempt to port-in from ZYM to my $8 plan from eight mobile
What is wrong with Zym?

For those who have already port into Eight as your main line, can I ask if you are able to receive the bank SMS OTP or transaction notifications while roaming overseas?

I have Eight but it is the free SIM, haven't gotten the chance to test this. It may potentially be a deal breaker for me in deciding whether to port my main line in.

Thanks to everyone for sharing. Seems like Eight has improved their back-end operations.

On 22nd July, I submitted an online application for the $0 plan with new number and sim card delivery option and I also received a confirmation email with my Eight new mobile number and activation code. Then on 26th July, I received the sim card and just activated the sim card on 28th July.

Just tested the speed and managed to get 199Mbps DL and 40.1 UL speed in Jurong West.

If the connection is good in underground MRT stations and in Malaysia, then I'll port over my Redone Amazing8 plan to Eight after 2 months.
