If port-out from Simba failed, they shouldn't have terminated the line, but rather retained it status quo as a Simba line. So yes, confirm with Simba what's going on first.

I just realised I shouldn’t have picked the $24 top up. Coz the charge for $24 top up is $22.60 — by right if it’s $7.50 for $8 top up, then price for $24 top up should be $22.50…

Next time I will top up smaller amount
10c difference?

Yah. I didn’t check. I thought will automatically based on $7.50 for every $8.

Previously, when the rate was $7.70 for $8 top up, the discount was slightly >$0.30 for every $8 worth of top up if you chose the $24 and above top ups

I applied for port in online and received the physical SIM card on Thursday. Proceed to activate the sim with the temporary number and activation code. Temporary number working fine.

I porting over from ZYM. since yesterday, I tried calling my zym number to check if porting has completed successfully. However got voice msg saying “ sorry the StarHub number u have dial is presently not in service”.

Zym is SingTel and eight is StarHub. So is the number already ported to eight but got hiccup resulting in no service?

Just curious, anyone tried and found out what will happen if you do not upgrade to $8/month or $18/month after the trail period?

Without officially terminating, will the line be on hold without data, cannot call out etc?


Edit for clarity:
Like the Eight number that's been allocated to my trail line so intend to keep this number instead of my spare Simba line. However, I've a few month's worth of cash in Simba's account/wallet so does not make sense to cancel too early.

We don't know, check back in 2 month's time.

Oh no looks like porting cases up again.
Likely backlogs, needing more time to clear.

Just go down to Ubi and ask the advice from the boss. Majority of us terminated the trial line and port in our old number.

EDIT: alternatively, keep both lines since u love the number u had with 8.

in jakarta now. connected immediately on landing. unlike simba, need to manually choose smartfren

I had bad experience with GOMO.
some of the time i got no signal in Jakarta. When got signal, service slowly creep up from E to 3G to 4G and if lucky 5G. If next day go to same place again, same story.
i observed my relative’s line on telkomsel, immediately 5G when reaching the same place. Sometimes I am 4g, they are 5g.

complained to singtel about this, the guy who always handled me told me i should have escalated to him immediately. If escalate after trip, they can’t do anything. In all fairness, they did escalate to Telkomsel.

if i calculate correctly, the monthly subscription fee is 30% less than normal subscription rate.

one shot sign on 13 months contract with them ah? Wah!!!!

I more kaisi kaisu, currently with 4 x eight lines, all only binded with 2 months “contract” 😅😅

I feel 8’s packaged benefits hit the sweet spot of our needs for members in my household. Converted from gomo, giga and simba to eight.

Hehehe… I also topped up 13 months. At first I only topped up 3 months at $7.70. Then later I see the price dropped to $7.50, I quickly topped up more

Waiting for the day where they allow more lines per pax.

Then can switch over the in laws and parents line over.
