However got voice msg saying “ sorry the StarHub number u have dial is presently not in service”.

Zym is SingTel and eight is StarHub. So is the number already ported to eight but got hiccup resulting in no service?
Yes. Your number is already ported into Starhub if you got the message.

Likely a screw up on Eight or Starhub side.
Saw a similar case whereby porting to Gomo from StarHub screwed up and the number was "sent" to the void leading to a friend having no number for 1 week.

You can try contact Zym first to ensure that eight has taken over the number, then contact Eight or head down to the Ubi shop to ask.

If 3-4 days still nothing, better get IMDA involved.

Yalor… but nevertheless, must still 饮水思源!
Without the emergence of TPG, we’ll still be stuck with $50-$80/mth bills
yea, without TPG, we still be stuck without roaming data until we cleared immigrations and customs clearance.

Before landing in Singapore, we had to change to appropriate sim cards. i believe countless sim cards are stuck in the gap of airplane seats :s13:

but TPG started it few years their launch though.

After that, every telco and MVNO started to give a bit roaming data. then telco started rolling out e-sim.

Those who frequently travel to another country, no more sim cards stuck in the gap of airplane seats! we can have one physical overseas sim card and one e-sim card for local sg use.

Ok, so at the end of the day, we still got to thank TPG for coming into the market. :o

Their eSIM in iPad still lords over Eight's coz doesn't have to rely solely on OTP to log in.

Simba now still comparable right? depends on individual preference and experience in terms of connectivity. They also have the $5 for every $20 topup now, which effectively means only $7.50 for the $10 plan.

I do wonder if eight can handle the load, given that they are new, so hesitant to change for now.

For port in to Eight from Simba, is there a need to 'mess around' with the Access Point Name? Is it Idiot proof plug and play?

Hi all, I have 2 free lines from Eight.

Can I visit their Ubi Store to terminate the 2 free lines and at the same time sign up and port 2 lines from other telco to their $8 plan?

Can everything be settled in 1 visit?

Thank you.
