anyway, Ubi boss and i tried all sorts of way to find out the problem.

Checked the settings for blocking incoming international sms.

Terminated my eSim, changed to physical sim, plugged the sim card into his phone. Thinking it was the eSim problem but, that is not the problem.

sent sms from two indo numbers to four different Eight numbers. All cannot receive sms from two different telcos from Indo.

We left no stones unturned and finally he escalated to the back end. He was that passionate and curious to find out simidaiji also.

shared all the details and phone numbers involved in this witch-hunting to eight team. Maybe they need more time coz this is new to them.

Maybe u should suggest another solution, is to jump back to GOMO and forfeit my 15mths of subscriptions and be miserable in EWL tunnels and crowded areas. Outside Singapore cannot receive or make calls

sounds like something is blocking Indonesia SMS from reaching Eight. I wonder if this is also seen on Starhub numbers too (since Eight is using Starhub infra).

on the imessage, was it green or blue?

shouldn't they tested using SIGOS from the start? (since that is the system that is sending the SMS OTPs)

will hold off drawing inferences on their technical problem solving capabilities, for now

if the imessage message was green (assuming you are on iphone), then it probably was sent as a sms. if you are not using iphone, then it would also be sent as an SMS. Even then, to replicate the problem of not receiving OTPs, they should have sent it from the SIGOS system in the first place.

Sender a bit blur lah.
sender thought he/she sending from an indo number.

Eight upload speed is pretty slow, maybe use WiFi to upload this screenshot after switching in WiFi.

Not me, someone/two else claiming that, can't remember if here or FB. My Eight's not in a 5G-capable phone.

Eight sometimes will connect to 5G network randomly for a while, then drop back to 4G.

That happens on my iPhone 13 mini sometimes, but speed wise don't feel much difference.

Yes. I tried roaming in JB and Kluang. I can confirm I got 5G NSA on My Maxis.

OH really? I didn't get any switching from 5G to 4G. Or is it probably tapped into malaysia network in woodlands? Cos malaysia can use 5G for eight on My Maxis

Eight 5G is quite random, also dependent on location as well.

I'm Singtel user. basically porting my share line out. i guess I just wait for another day then.

my port in completed. can receive SMS as well. all seems good.

2 sept 7pm - get new card from ubi and request port in my singtel share line immediately. Was told 3-7 days to port in.
3 sept - nothing happen
4 sept 7am - morning wake up already ported successfully.
