Wow was gonna recontract ST sim-only 5G 12 months. But if Eight ups the ante and adds 5G to fight Vivifi, I will seriously consider moving to Eight.

I am using the sinktel 12months contract (and used very long already, find myself so stupid) and will be moving to Eight.

Since Eight is no contract I think can try first while waiting for better promo with 5G option, unless 5G ish really a big thing for you. Even so, I see many good promo out there with 5G. Anything also better than sinktel. :s13:

MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) will bill you first once you sign up and activated your line.
Then why is it named post paid ? :frown:
Meaning my current giga was already paid and lasts till 19nov, if i port out, i would have to pay Eight for signup and no refund from my giga right?

This is an industrial norm apply across most of the mobile operators.

Generally yes. Please check with Giga for their recurring billing date, most operators will bill their subscribers few days in advance before the next renewal date. You have to allow few days in advance, the next renewal date, before you port out to another mobile operator. You have not much choices, unless you can get a better offer elsewhere

Jin mafan, i signed up eight for my mum and install the app on my mobile phone , so everytime i want to top up i need to get the otp from her.

You can enable "Auto-Recharge" with your credit card info. So you will just need to do it once.

Alternatively, you can buy from Shopee. Just need to key in the phone number in the "Message to seller" field when checking out.

How do you know when you can port out? I'm thinking of porting from singtel sim only to eight too . If singtel contract ends on 14 Dec 24, do you initiate eight to port in on the same day, ie 14 Dec 24? TIA

"fast" depends on useage. for me, surfing, watching movies, i dun game, it is better than my former gomo and st postpaid (which used to give me "aeroplane" mode in the tunnels ie 4 bar but no data and timeouts)

Just ported in yesterday from StarHub to $18 plan. Requested port in at around 9.30am. Immediately received eSIM QR code through email with tempo number. Shortly after received free $18 credit.

Port in successful on the same day itself at about 10.30pm. Overall very smooth and seamless process

All prices for mobile plans and broadband are nett, i.e. GST is already included. You pay $18 or $8 and not a single cent more.

I know it's really confusing in SG because fast food prices already include GST, but not restaurant menu prices. Not good and the gahment should really just standardize pricing across the board. Don't know why it's so difficult to do; it isn't.
