so now ok port in online no issues ?, then collect sim card at collection c
Yup, choose to do online and collect SIM card from one of the 8 outlets. So far so good, smooth! (y) (y)

P.S. I've only tried Ubi and Tiong Bahru myself.

Eight is much smoother roaming. Going across can even beat M1 and sinktel in switching network, auto detect and already hooked on U Mobile once I left 2nd Link, while I was still strangling with the other 2 and 🦁. For all I know, already switched even before I was on the road!
Nice, will test them when I travel :D

For me, both ok, as have tried port in online and collect at collection point (Tampines) / delivery

I've a Changi Mobile number that I want to port over to Eight, the billing cycle is 10/10 to 9/11 which I've paid the bill for. So is it safe to apply via Eight website on 5/11 to port over to avoid paying another month?

Update for sharing:
Went down on Sunday to a eight retailer which turned out to be a provision shop at one of the MRT/LRT station. Only 1 man handling everything, while waiting for him to log in to his eight account, stood there to watch him multi-tasked selling cigarette, newspaper, water and other mobile top up 😅

No singpass was used, only scan IC front and back. No email received, no number given. Asked to pay $8 and to put in SIM card to call out if want to know temporary number, and port-in will be done within 2 days.

Put in sim card, received welcome SMS, used it to call out to get the temporary number to log in to eight account to check. Double Eight plan active and the wallet has the extra $8 credited.

Number ported over successfully on Tuesday, but no SMS was received.

Just ported in yesterday from StarHub to $18 plan. Requested port in at around 9.30am. Immediately received eSIM QR code through email with tempo number. Shortly after received free $18 credit.

Port in successful on the same day itself at about 10.30pm. Overall very smooth and seamless process
Port over from Starhub to Starhub networks is Jin fast. 👍

Erm how to see the status ah? From where?

Ok mine is:

Went to retail shop to port in. Uncle asked me for my SingPass, asked me use my SingPass to scan his QR code. Failed twice. In the end used my NRIC.

Then he gave me a card containing the SIM card and wrote a temporary number on the card. He told me once my current provider sinktel no more showing the sinktel logo or cannot use anymore, then I insert the Eight sim card into my phone.

Did it yesterday around 12pm. Until now nothing yet, phone still showing sinktel. Moi mom one also havent.

Am I doing something wrong? Or uncle told me differently?

Log in to My Account with your temporary number and OTP using Chrome Browser. Not sure about other browsers.

Nothing wrong. Port in takes about 1-3 days.

Yes. Insert the 8 SIM first. Then you can check via My Account.
Also check if auto-recharge is already enabled. 🙂

This option should be found at: Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Options > Voice & Data, and then enable VoLTE.

Some info for anyone considering switching to EIGHT, I bought the $8 plan this morning to try it out first. Applied for esim ( new number ) , verify using Singpass, got QR code, paid using debit card and got everything running in less than 10 mins.

Speedtest results as similar to redone ( no surprise since both are starhub ), will update later on the performance during peak hours on trains.

SMS doesn't always arrive. There're a few incidents lately that I didn't receive SMS for various stuff while others here did, but lines still working as they should.

If later in the day then expect to wait for next round /day.

This morning replaced my Simba card with Eight for JB use. Phone also has Maxis prepaid card.

Eight auto detected and connected to U mobile, now best of both worlds coz enabled auto data switch. Important phone coz my TnG eWallet is there.

So far still on U Mobile.
