The SIMBA-M1 deal was a huge blow to Starhub as they were speculated to acquire M1 as well.

Tiagong Starhub is not going to pursue and continue with the price war for mobile subscriptions and focus on other business areas instead.

I think it shows with what they're offering. They're not even trying to match what the Singtel MVNOs are offering of 6 months FOC port-in.

hope they focus on payTV and fibre broadband, since they acquired MyRepublic.

Hope they can come out with a la carte solutions like Singtel Cast. Say i don't want 12mths sports channel, i just want watch a few months, then pay for that few months. Don't need box, stream from android/tizen/webos tv. Maybe simba can start

I am currently on Singtel SIM only (12-mth contract ending on 7 Sep). If I port over to eight now, will I incurr any termination charge? Anyone did something similar before? I want to make use of this free 2mth promo

Singtel early termination charge is to pay up for the rest of the period, last I've seen. But they may or may not let you pay off to port out. Even if they do, make sure they don't terminate your line otherwise you'll end up with nothing to port.

Can recontract earlier but not port out nor terminate before said date.

Try calling them to ask, though I've my doubt with ST.

What made you want to port over from Singtel to eight?

If you want a good deal and Starhub network, MyRepublic offers $9.99 5G plan with 6 months free for port-in

Ditched Simba for 8 today at Comex.

Got the $11.80 plan for $8, then got 2 free months.
Then top up $56 to get extra $20 free

Total $64 for $76 wallet balance (9.5mths)+3 months = 12.5 months.

Total $5.12/mth
congrats
network is very cui in sg.
roaming in malaysia also cui

Yes, the network hasn’t been great recently.

The saving grace is the big international roaming data allowances for their plans and the flexibility to upgrade and downgrade. I travel monthly for work towards year end and it really helps save alot. I used to get travel eSIM and usually they cost at least $10 per trip.
