if you are thinking to switch to eight, think twice. Eight and giga 4G is the same.i think I need to change to Eight.. I am getting less than 10mbps on Giga 4G...![]()
Honestly don't think will have much diff lehi think I need to change to Eight.. I am getting less than 10mbps on Giga 4G...![]()

if you are thinking to switch to eight, think twice. Eight and giga 4G is the same.
The price is different, especially on the senior plan. For example, 8 Mb/s (sustained) is easily good enough for 720p video streaming, e-mail, maps, audio streaming, WhatsApp, Instagram browsing, etc., etc. If that’s a decent enough speed for what you do, why pay any more than you have to?Honestly don't think will have much diff leh
Nothing got to do with value, he mentioned that it was slow, going to eight will not solve the problem. We not talking about value leh.The price is different, especially on the senior plan. It’s a value question, that’s all. Some people like Eight’s particular value equation, some don’t.
That’s an assumption, not in evidence from what’s written. An equally valid interpretation is, “I’m getting less than 10 Mb/s on Giga. I might as well switch to Eight and save a couple bucks.”Nothing got to do with value, he mentioned that it was slow, going to eight will not solve the problem. We not talking about value leh.![]()
Both are starhub hence it won't change.i think I need to change to Eight.. I am getting less than 10mbps on Giga 4G...![]()
But the price (and roaming allotments) will. Both are starhub hence it won't change.
Not a given! 5G won’t do anything for a 4G device, and/or it’s possible StarHub’s 4G network offers the best available service in the poster’s challenging location.Your best bet is to either
1) Move to Singtel MVNO and use their "free" 5G NSA till it is removed
2) Move to M1 Maxx and get nice speeds like the one @Jurong640 is sharing. Some may question that he/she might be paid by M1 Maxx![]()
That would only work if the places frequently visited have good coverage by the respective telco. Both are starhub hence it won't change.

Then I can say the same for you, you are also assuming what lol, what makes you think that he is talking about value? Don’t assume! There is no evidence! That’s an assumption, not in evidence from what’s written. An equally valid interpretation is, “I’m getting less than 10 Mb/s on Giga. If the poster would like to clarify, fine, but don’t jump to conclusions not yet in evidence.
Is GrandJedi a he? I haven’t assumed that either! Then I can say the same for you, you are also assuming what lol, what makes you think that he is talking about value? Don’t assume! There is no evidence!![]()
Serving 200+ passengers all trying to watch 4K video on ~6 inch ~2K screens from the same train hurtling through a tube, while similar trains with 200+ data sucking passengers move in the other direction in an adjacent tube, is…not easy! I’m exaggerating a bit, but it’s something like that. The only notable issue is underground trains which most telco will have problems with anyway.![]()
