When is the best time to upgrade plan? Like how many days before the last day of plan? Any advice?
Upgrade is immediate, maybe just time it to 2-3 days before renewal. Depending on how much you want to make use of existing entitlements...
I think you have a couple other options:
  • You can choose a specific plan to Auto-Recharge into, and then Eight will switch you to that new plan at the end of your current cycle. (Go to the Billing section of your online account, and you should see that option.)
  • You can turn off Auto-Recharge, let your current plan expire, enter the 60 day grace period, then switch to another plan whenever you wish as long as it's before the end of your grace period.
Note that you can only choose a plan that's actually offered when you choose it. For example, Eight is still advertising their S$10.80 per 30 days plan as available through May 31, 2026.

Today my double eight plan expired without automatic renew when i still have 136 in the wallet, anyone know why?
check with Eight CSO why didnt auto renew. https://www.eight.com.sg/help/mobile/ "Auto recharge" is it on ?

If you miss the date to renew your plan, you can renew it the next day. Simply do it on eight account or visit our retailers/eight Service Centres.

When your plan expires, it will go into a grace period of 60 days. During which, you can receive SMS and notification to recharge. After 60 days, you will continue to receive SMS, however all unused wallet credit will be forfeited.

Eight should do what Simba is doing for 1-for-1 promo, give free credit together with the top up amount at the same time. It is creating unnecessary frustration and problems to itself and the customers. Guess its system is not sophisticated enough to detect quota hit and resume back to normal top up. 😵

Check if "Auto Recharge" is turned on. Think it's under Billing.

Please do not be so aggressive to them.

Give them a chance to learn and improve.

They only like us earn eat feed family only.

Their intention is help company earn money. Make the company more famous.

They offered this type of promotion we the customers benefit from it.

I love this company.

I think desperate is the word and they have limited times to react to the you know who promotion.

Limited manpower. Obviously.

Don listen to those pple anyhow say.
They just rephrase to 1 for 1 so no pple will question them again about lump sum 84 topup instead of 28x3 topup. The FB post appear on Friday not Sunday.

early past promotions, the credits came in fast by 2nd or 3rd day
recently has been much slower, my guess is because different staff doing the background admin

either way, I won't worry to much
eight is not going to screw you over a promo that they run and create negative publicity
besides, its not a big amount

Ask them how many emails they received regarding no credits receive in previous promotion? Answer they would?

I see. Thats one way. But the $10.80 promo ending soon. So no choice for me. Unless it gets extended. Or it may get extended after i recharge.
