Your case is rather unusual, you will also need the activation code which is either in the SMS or email.

I skipped no.3, as I have entered the number manually.
Well, since you do not have SMS or email, then need to contact Eight to seek help.
My hotmail inbox or spam box have no email from Eight. Decided to check via Outlook web portal and bingo, it is in the junk box. Thank you for you people confirming notification should be received and led me to dig further to check. ☺

I am thinking to port over from Simba $10 plan to EIGHT $8 plan. One of the upside is because EIGHT has more sms which for work reasons I still need to use.
Anyone has used simba and using EIGHT now? Can compare how is the network coverage from your usage experience?
SIMBA on one test phone, Eight on my work phone today. Night and day difference on the streets.

Eight is quite a bit more data responsive compared to Simba, and drains the battery noticeably less.

Poor signal connectivity also drains the phone battery, so that's something to consider. StarHub's network is still better covered than SIMBA's

Simba's 5G is slower than Eight's 4G based on my personal experience. However I have yet to use Eight's roaming, no issue with Simba on that front.

anyone has issue porting in from simba to eight physical sim via delivery?

i activated the physical sim on 25 July around 9pm, no news on port-in yet.

I activated another eight sim (e-sim) on 25 July around the same time, and port-in for this (for another number) is already completed.

I've roamed in JB a couple of times with Eight, no problem at all. Also posted the speed test results here.👍

I just ported over to eight (line 1). When i called to another line (line 2, that does not store my line 1 number), it shows my line 1 number as private number.

If i store my number, it will display my saved contact. How to solve the private number?

Call your friends or family also show private on their phones?

Completed port-in from Giga to eight last night.
Signed up at 1929hrs at service centre.
lost giga signal at 2200hrs-ish
received giga email at 2213hrs saying (giga) line has been terminated.
popped in new sim at about an hour later and received sms the port-in process is completed.
did a speedtest. eight is faster than giga.

The real test comes in august when 3G nw shuts down.
The shutdown is delayed for Singtel and StarHub to sometime in October.

According to some rumours, something about an important event coming up that still uses ST and SH, so they need more time.

M1 is the one that will fully comply with IMDA's previously established timeline.

Have used roaming in Vietnam (vina phone) and Malaysia (maxis) both able to get 50+mpbs. Quite shiok. Roaming auto connects quite seamlessly.

Just completed mine. Apply on Monday, received the sim yesterday. Activate then last night cut over.
