For me, Eight suits me better. Below is my findings, but not extensive.
GOMO
EWL Tunnel - I watched reels and youtube when I commute to work. Inside tunnels, no connection most of the time, i could not load reels at all. Jittery at best. Traveling time 7:20am towards Pasir Ris and 7ish-pm towards Joo Koon.
Crowded places - could not load anything. Many incidences but two notable ones where I was stranded.
Orchard Midpoint Mall, my wife (at the time was on GIGA) was able to scroll her sns apps, watching reels and all that but my GOMO no internet at all, signal 3 bars.
Marina Barrage - NDP Rehearsal day where heaps of people are having picnics. My GOMO line could not connect to internet at all. I posted here also, speedtest cannot even do the ping. My wife was on eight and she was happily watching reels.
Eight
No problem. I can watch reels daily. There are times it will sluggish but recovers within a second, unlike GOMO where the icon would keep spinning aka buffering.
But on expressway, on BKE when it was around Mandai area (exit and entrance), I experienced no internet at all. Same as GOMO. Urban legend had it that it was due to close proximity of sensitive military installations. Others are noticing this phenomenon too.
The perks of eight is also better.
- I can answer and make calls while i am roaming (on selected destinations).
