U gotta try first lah.
- Your daily routines and apps usually might differ from me.
- You might use different MRT lines thus different tunnel.

Sign up a line, only $8.
No contract somemore. eight even have an e-sim option so u can keep your current number active. stress test the network.
If no, happy, you get your answer.
If happy, sign up again to port-in.
Nowadays it is easy to jump unlike in the past where you have to be committed for a year.

For me, Eight suits better. Below is my findings, but not extensive.

GOMO
EWL Tunnel - I watch reels and youtube most of the time. Inside tunnel no connection most of the time, i cannot load reels at all. Jittery at best. Traveling time 7:20am towards Pasir Ris and 7ish-pm towards Joo Koon.

Crowded places - could not load. Many incidences but two notable ones where I was stranded
Orchard Midpoint Mall, my wife (at the time was on GIGA) was able to scroll her sns apps, watching reels and all that but my GOMO no internet at all, signal 3 bars.
Marina Barrage - Rehearsal day where heaps of people are having picnics. My GOMO could not connect to internet. My wife was on eight and she happily watching reels.

Eight
No problem. I can watch reels. There are times it would a bit sluggish but still can watch.
Unlike GOMO where the icon keeps spinning aka buffering.
But BKE when hit Mandai area (exit and entrance) totally no internet. Others are noticing this phenomenon too.
The perks of eight is also better.
- I can answer and make calls while i am roaming (on selected destinations).
- $8
Thanks for this wonderful feedback. I think I will try eight since it’s in StarHub. M1 is a no for me as they have very bad deadzones. I am taking mrt and i always wonder why some people can still watch video in crowded stations while my SingTel is forever spinning. I guess they could be on StarHub.

Personally, I have used MR 4G (m1-backed network) for 2 yrs.

I could not relate when they said M1 network is bad coz it was stable for me. However, my wife had a different experience. She frequently experienced airplane-mode especially after the scheduled maintenance.

then i changed to GOMO and that was when I start to frequently experience no internet connection in crowded areas and train.

i saw somebody getting as frustrated as me in the mrt when he was experiencing spinning wheel. I guessed he was on a singtel network lol

so far i am pleasantly surprised with 8 as internet is stable but with more people jumping to eight, i hope they can sustain the bandwidth. No need speed, give me a slower internet also can as long it is a working one

i used to crave for speed. When i was with GOMO 5G, the speed was fast, faster than 8. But when i needed the internet the most e.g. in crowded area and needed to internet for some PHV booking or google check, GOMO disappointed me countless times.

maybe pressured by other telcos :s22:
maybe the have a ceasefire agreement to stabilize the price.
maybe margin affected.
maybe shopee increased the commission taking from seller.
:s22:
Ya.. might go up to 8 eventually so there's no more discount also haha, small increase but better to have lower cost since there's free 8 dollar promo anyway

Ya noticed SingTel not so good these days. Will try this eight since it’s only $8.

Just applied for this card, i noted that one can topup via shopee at the rate of $7.40-7.60. However, for this first time the $8 have to be deducted from CC and subsequently i can turn off auto recharge after i preloaded my acc with $ from shopee topup?

Not advisable to turn off auto recharge via CC. It acts as a back up in case you forget to top up in Main Balance.

Anyway, eight will deduct from Main Balance first, failing which then will deduct from CC
