Any one try to upgrade plan from $8 to the $18? Does the upgrade take effect immediately or when the $8 plan expired? Because I need the 58GB data for Malaysia travel. Thanks

My cycle expiry is 9th Oct. So 8th Oct 2359 have to use up all the data. And Plan renewal will occur on the day 9th Oct?

Anyone using 8 tried to transfer eSIM from iPhone 15 to new 16 instead of going down to service centre?
just realised from iPhone 15, eSIM can be transferred from previous iPhone to new iPhone.

Was that a particular telco's eSIM or you ended up being able to transfer more than one?

Together when you transferred all other data from one iPhone to another, or just the eSIM/s?

yup, I could receive international calls.
Interesting.

My guess is that Eight went over-zealous with their option: "I would like to block overseas SMS (All international incoming SMS will be blocked)"

The toggle became a fake toggle and would always block no matter whether it was toggled on or off. Could be a lack of communication between front-end and back-end, or they didn't change enough flags on the back-end.

Just a completely wild hypothesis, so please calm down if you disagree. :ROFLMAO:

Let me put it this way, you and I and some of the guys we are always ==>> :s13:

on a serious note, I did discuss it with the engineer when he called me one fine night that they are giving me a call about the troubleshooting progress, that the toggle could be a fake toggle, that eight blanket bans every single customers for receiving international SMS. He understood where I came from but said it is highly unlikely that is the case.
