did you went to the ubi svc centre to do this or how did you ?

Wait for 9am at the earliest.

Finally everything works at 11:30am today. Internet, calls, sms, everything works now.

The unhappy part was that my number was unreachable from 8pm last night to 11am today --- a good 15 hours. I don't think I experienced this when porting to other telcos. Typically the new sim card works immediately when the old sim card stops working...

The unhappy part was that my number was unreachable from 8pm last night to 11am today --- a good 15 hours. I don't think I experienced this when porting to other telcos. Typically the new sim card works immediately when the old sim card stops working...

But it works now, right? So because of that, I don't think anyone has the energy nor motivation to troubleshoot this with you. They will just close your ticket and mark it as "RESOLVED".

usually not immediately,
unless u r porting to eight from giga which I agree it is the fastest I have ever seen. gaotim less than an hour.

Cross-telcos porting will take a few hours.
Once i ported from Zym to Gomo, it started at 8am and finished at 12noon.
heng ah, i got simba as back-up.
Simba saved me a few times liao

BUT ANYWAY, here's my first question. When you got your Eight SIM card, it comes with a temporary number. That should work straightaway when you pop it into your phone. Did it?

I'm guessing you must have also restarted your phone a million times when it wasn't working?

Where did you do the port in? Online? Ubi? Lucky Plaza?
