Just to check , if I am overseas, can I receive calls from SG? If so, it is consider as IDD calls and will deduct from the IDD mins right?
yes correct. you can still receive calls from sg when you are overseas
i made calls back to sg when i am in thailand, but so far i didnt see any deduction from IDD mins
but when i was in sg, i used it to call thailand number, it deducted from my IDD mins

Under CIS is mentioned :

228GB Local data,
88 SMS,
588 Local mins,
288 IDD mins,
10GB Roaming data APAC,
2GB International Roaming data International,
Free Caller ID,
Free local incoming mins and SMS,
288 VoLTE incoming minutes,
288 VoLTE outgoing mins to home country (Singapore),
288 VoLTE outgoing mins to local country (the country that you roam

It looks like the IDD is a different bucket from the 2nd VoLTE you used, which might explain your observation.
I wonder if the 3x 288 VoLTE minutes is a single bucket or 3 different bucket ?

all these tech term used is too complex for any basic user
sort of misleading advertisement when idd charges are incurred

then still need correct roaming partner if applicable, complexity with additional complexity

But incoming calls from SG when in overseas will not deduct into the 288 IDD mins right?

i just tested by asking my family to call me (am in thailand now), no mins deducted from my 288mins

perhaps it is using the volte calls? not quite sure too

incoming and outgoing calls to sg - no mins deducted

In general, IDD min is not for roaming, it is when u call an overseas number when u are in Sg. This part is quite straightforward once u understand the concept. Hope this help those who were confused

Does roaming covers calls and SMS?

Our plans do include 288mins roaming calls back to Singapore and at the destination you roam at! For SMS, there will be no issues to receive OTP but our plans do not include outgoing SMS at the moment.

Simple answer: yes for the stated countries
