Personally I am not surprise they did that, even though that is not what the CIS say. 3 different 288 minutes would have been very nice though.
yeah agreed
well, no complains, it is very good enough liao
just that dunno where to track :s22:

the 12gb data roaming is every good

but for the data roaming, it can be tracked via apps

CIS says :

288 IDD mins,
288 VoLTE incoming minutes,
288 VoLTE outgoing mins to home country (Singapore),
288 VoLTE outgoing mins to local country (the country that you roam

Where to track is another totally different story.
Some more got 3 different entries.....

I'm also super confused with the 288 minutes IDD call. Below are the stuff I tried to clarify with CS via WhatsApp.

1. Calling from Singapore to Malaysia, is it part of the 288mins?
CS reply: Yes

2. Calling from Malaysia to Singapore, is it part of the 288mins?
CS reply: Yes

3. Receiving a call from Singapore while I'm roaming at Vietnam, is it part of the 288mins?
CS reply: No information to answer!

Looks like the 288mins is meant for outgoing roaming call (regardless where you place the call).

I am porting existing number, from physical SIM.

Do the billing date start on the day that I activate online at https://account.eight.com.sg/activate with a temporary number? (While waiting for the porting to complete within the next few days)

Or the bill date start after the porting completed?

Thank you!

Search a few pages back, the billing start date will be the activation date.

Let me know if this information is not correct, or updated. Thanks to tanchoo1
I checked my account, it’s the date I made payment.

I assume your eight plan is a new sign up eSIM, and not porting existing pSIM number?

which explains why your plan follow the date of payment?
No is port.
I apply on Sunday.
card activation on Monday (12:30am)

but when I login, I see the start date is Sunday.

I am a bit confused now, so does the billing cycle start from the pSIM / eSIM activation date or first date of payment? o_O

Any old eight telecom timer can chip in your experience on billing cycle?

How did you apply ? Given that you activate a day after you apply, that doesn't seems like online.

If you sign up directly via the eight retailers: The SIM is already activated! You can start using our service!

I apply online and choose pickup at store option. I only insert the SIM card to my phone after midnight lol

Did you have to go through the activation process ?
I am wondering since you pick up at store, would they have activated it there when you pick up.

Although according to FAQ :
If you sign up online: You can receive and activate your SIM cards via postal mail or collection at eight retailers.

No idea. You can go to the shop and ask I guess?

The store will activate the SIM card on your behalf when you pick up at their store.
A related query, if apply online and opt for esim, activation is when ?
When you scan the esim QR code ?

Since a data link with eight server is required to successfully install the esim.
