Within a month or 2, every MNO & MVNO in SG will ONLY have LTE or 5G Network.I would advise you not to get Simba, they only have either LTE or 5G network.
Even for overseas roaming usage, either LTE or 5G, most of the time I only get LTE (<10% of the time in 5G).
The only good thing is their international data roaming is 7gb if you get the $12 plan, 5gb for the $10 plan.
Technically LTE is slower than 4G. Tested and proven in many countries as I travel for both biz and leisure trips.
I just requested port over to Eight yesterday, now pending porting.
Where you get this info?Within a month or 2, every MNO & MVNO in SG will ONLY have LTE or 5G Network.
Shut down of 3G maWhere you get this info?
I just did it today. Emailed to eight on my request with my detailed information yesterday and the customer service replied with the eSIM QR code today. Physical SIM got cut off immediately eight transferred to eSIM and you need to activate your eSIM using the QR code to connect to the network.has any one change from pSIM to eSIM? must go down to their service center or can do online? need to pay anything?
Can email them and they will send the eSIM over.has any one change from pSIM to eSIM? must go down to their service center or can do online? need to pay anything?

LTE is not the same as 4G.Within a month or 2, every MNO & MVNO in SG will ONLY have LTE or 5G Network.
in my simple mind - it is the same as 5G NSA and 5G SA.LTE is not the same as 4G.
After the 3G UMTS system was developed, there was a need to create even better standards for the telecommunications system. This led to the creation of LTE, a standard similar to 4G but not quite 4G.
Long Term Evolution (LTE) and fourth-generation (4G) networks were mainly introduced around the same time and are often marketed together. However, several differences exist between LTE and 4G, making 4G faster than LTE and more suitable for IoT implementation.

Simba only uses LTE, while others are using 4G.

LTE is a type of 4G lah. Same sim card put into different phones like iphones and androids will show LTE or 4G. In sg context they r the same. No need to nitpick.
You did not create account with Singpass ?Hi All, did anyone experience an issue where during account/number creation, the operator keyed in the wrong IC number. The current IC number is masked but the last 2 digit/letters are showing 2 letters instead of a numerical value followed by a letter.
After close to a month of back and fro via their email, eight telco is telling me they are unable to amend/transfer ownership. Will appreciate any advice for me to keep this number under my rightful ID. I do have the account/number creation email with me.
I created during July 2024. Back then, there isnt a Singpass option..You did not create account with Singpass ?
Escalate to IMDA for them to intervene since you are claiming that its vendor oversight.Hi All, did anyone experience an issue where during account/number creation, the operator keyed in the wrong IC number. Thanks, I have emailed them earlier, awaiting a response from their end. I have also been down to Eight's service center but they told me to email them instead even though their website stated: "For change of NRIC/ FIN details, please head down to our eight service center with the original ID that was used for registration."Escalate to IMDA for them to intervene since you are claiming that its vendor oversight.
Did you questioned Eight Service Center on the T&C then since you went down? Thanks, I have emailed them earlier, awaiting a response from their end.
