That could be same as some of the traditional blind spots I mentioned. Those locations seem to always have bad speeds no matter what telco you use. E.g Braddell

Braddel to bishan was bad for me on singtel. It's ok on eight/starhub.

admittedly, each telco has their own dead zones. unfortunately for me, st had more dead zones in places i frequent.
eight/starhub has been better for me. i probably don't go near their dead zones, fortunately.

the poorer coverage in ew/ns tunnels is probably a result of data coverage not being an initial infra requirement.
