Too long le, mine covered till around dec 2025 with average $5 per mth8 * $28 is $224! You get $304. At $8/month sub, that's 38 months. About $5.90/month. Good until Mar 2028. Who's game for a meetup on 2027 Christmas? :S![]()

You can either do a Recharge (any amount but min $1) inside the Eight app or top up of $10 under the same Shopee seller. Is there a top up amount option of $10?
Or are you referring to the 2 x $5?
I remember SGN airport has very fast wifi. Did you try?
Thank uCheck their phone settings; make sure that it isn't set to connect to 5G as this can cause all sorts of unexpected connectivity issues. Change it to 4G and enable VoLTE.
Remember that Eight is a 4G-only network.
No.The activation code is valid for 14 business days
Does it include Sat/Sun?
Hi, has anyone successfully used the Eight with a mobile router in Taiwan?
I assumed it would be as simple as plugging it in, but the signal seems weak, or perhaps there’s a setting I overlooked.
For those who have managed to make it work, could you share how you did it?![]()
Chunghwa is the best telco imo. But I guess it is 4G+ only?Hi, I used Eight during my Kaohsiung, Tainan & Taipei trip in early Jan 2025. You only need to switch on "Auto Roaming" in your phone settings. Eight will run on Chunghwa Telecom's network in Taiwan.
Coverage, speed and stability were better than average. I didn't experience any network issues in Taiwan. I was even able to make WhatsApp call at the Beitou hot springs area in Taipei.
Hope this helps.

Thank you for your detailed response. I tried using it with my mobile router, but before that, I inserted it into my phone, activated auto-roaming, and then transferred it to the mobile router.
However, it keeps loading endlessly, even though the network has been detected.

Or perhaps the frequency bands supported by the mobile router ?If Eight's auto roaming in Taiwan worked on your phone, maybe it's your mobile router's settings.
You have to enable data roaming on the mobile router. I lol-ed at activated auto roaming on phone and transferred to mobile router. You serious about that? LOLThank you for your detailed response. Haven't you heard? We can now activate auto-roaming in our phone, and "transfer" it to any other phone in the world via WhatsApp or Telegram! You have to enable data roaming on the mobile router.
