till now I still didnt receive the sms. Is it becos only for targeted users?

I got 1 SMS the other day, then another line got its SMS just half hour ago. Eight spying on us here?

check your spam sms.

Working fine after about an hour. Got mass 3 to 4 sms send over in a row.

Not sure why on my end the sms was cranky, lucky was not doing any banking otp

Went to the rally at TJC on 26/4.

The network there was bad. Don't know why, maybe it was due to the huge crowds of people.

Same, was at Anderson Serangoon JC for a while, zero reception for WhatsApp. Calls still worked though, but once I left the school, WhatsApp worked again.

Eight in this area signal is very bad.

similar experience at serangoon stadium for results release.
both eight and starhub lines both lag.

think its the underlying starhub infra/bandwidth.
and can eight do anything about it?

Line has to be active during the whole porting process. Should be the same with other telco lines too...

I travel quite a fair bit to China and I find the voice roaming and the 10GB international data roaming plans generous.

They are on Starhub 4G network but what I heard reception is better than Simba's.

Thinking of switching from Giga.

My opinon is that GIGA or EIGHT, in the end once the mask comes off, it is still starhub.
Whatever places that you find it to have weak reception or poor internet speed, expect the same on Eight.

So far for 8 SGD, it served me well and i don't really expect super fast speeds considering it is just 4G and train tunnel data / reception sucks

Maybe you want to have a look at CMLink and CUniq?
Both are using Singtel lines in singapore and should probably offer more "value" since you have to travel to China often?

After hearing so many people saying data is too slow, you are not alone.

Try go to flight mode on and off. Otherwise give your phone a fresh restart to the network, after coming back from Malaysia.

I always restart my phone after coming back, and find it helps.

yes data is getting slower. i enquired thru the customer service. the help is of little/no use.
eight probably over-grew. and these cases of patchy network quality is appearing.

it recovered somewhat. but not to initial quality/speeds
