Subscribed to the $11.80 plan and put the sim card in a sim card router. Happy with it so far, think gonna drop my fibre broadband subscription.

Yup. Insert the sim card, on power, install the Deco app on phone, follow through the steps in the app, when finished the internet connection will be up.

Then all devices can connect and use data like normal WIFI?

Yup quite straightforward to set up. Convenient also since can move the router around, just need a power socket, no need to be tethered to a wall fibre point.

Running the same setup too but on ZYM. However there's an upfront cost for the Deco X50 which is around $200+ even tho prices have fallen recently.

Is deco x50 the only tp link model to have the SIM card model?

this is a really gd idea. if one got no budget for router, can just enable hotspot on your mobile but it does eat quite a bit of battery. you can also use usb tethering for your laptop or desktop pc

I have two tplink SIM routers, MR600 (4G) and deco X50-5G. Had ditched my fibre bb many months ago, and was paying $30 then.
I went through a few MVNO, Restriction is not so much the speed as 4G is enough for internet surfing, watching 4k TV. It might be limited if you're doing heavy gaming online.

The last I settled on was Simba data-only plan $5 for 300GB. At one time, it ran out of data, so 300GB was not really enough.

Now Circles-Life is much better offer for me at $8 for 750GB and the latest promo $8 for 1TB.

I did find some problem with the 2 routers. Occasionally, they hanged. A power reset is the only solution.
