Could anyone advise if Eight Mobile subscriptions have a minimum contract duration? I'm looking into switching to another MVNO.

Had an eight with line that I was using on and off for a while but it’s been a while since I topped up (more than 60 days). If I top up, say via Lazada, will it resume service automatically? Or how long before I lose the number? From their FAQ, it mentions that after 60 days of no top up, you only get SMS, but nothing about losing the number, so I wasn’t sure. Thanks!

Try sending an SMS from another phone to see if the line is still there?

On my phone with 2 SIMs (4G) : CirclesLife and eight. I speedtest both about the same around 100Mbps.
When I connect to wifi via deco x50-5G using another CL (5G), it tested at 255Mbps.
Probably the 5G makes a difference.

5G does make a difference. But how much improvement depends on the MNO. Eg Simba difference between 4G+ and 5G only very small

Previously I did speed test was around 100mbps only. Don't know why suddenly bump by almost double.

I agree with you. Simba connects on the front at 5G but downloads like 4G,
Like fake 5G. 🤪
CL, may not be the best, but I tested download at 300+ Mbps on my deco X50-5G

You can port out after the first 30 days. The line must be active for porting so that'd mean you'd have paid for the second month.

Let say i had paid for the first month but the second and third month is free, possible to port out?
Now i into its second month.

Had tried to port out from Eight but if indicate "Service number not match with customer ID".. strange as both telco i using my SingPass..

Had email Eight this morning, no response till now

IMO can port out especially if you've paid the full rate for the 1st month.

The use of SingPass could be only for verification purpose, so error could happen when there's human data entry along the way.

Can seek help from one of their service centres...

Maybe the terms and conditions or fine print stated cannot port out during the “free months”?

But how to port the wrong number?

My number was from M1 -> MyRepublic -> Eight -> Zero1.. When porting from MyRepublic to Eight they use a temporary number for the SIM card.. then port the actual number over.. so i guess this is where the problem started.. somehow the info not updated to my actual number.. but then when i login to Eight account page everything is in order.. the number is with my name...

i don remember other telco use temporary Number when porting over.. correct me if I wrong
