However, when I use the 4G router it can only get DL30; UL20 Mbps.
This 4G router is used in the car when driving in Malaysia. Been using yellow CelcomDigi (used to be DiGi), so I locked to three bands B28, B3,& B7 for DiGi CA. That may be the reason for the lower speed.
CA for Starhub 4G+ is as follows (from Internet search) :-

Hope this helps. As I just got the SIM Yesterday, will test it over there in a weeks time.
BTW, Simba lowest priced SIM comes with 5G and speed about 192Mbps in Singapore, slower!

Roaming partners in Malaysia are Celcom, Digi and U Mobile.

To have good roaming connectivity in Malaysia you’ll want your phone to support the main 4G bands used by these Malaysian networks.(Generally, lock the lower Frequency B28 & B3 for wider coverage especially driving on Toll Highways about 110 km/hr.)

Key bands include:

As can be seen from this test, Download with 4G+ involves CA but Upload can only do single band as the speed of upload is similiar.

In conclusion, the router may not be able to do 4G+ CA of Tri-band.

Somehow I remember that I saw the option, but later I enabled the option as I may keep Eight for quite some time unless it fails my roaming test during the upcoming short trip to China. In that case, it may be ported out.

Now I cannot find the option to disable auto-recharge in the Eight app. Looks like a one way ticket to me.

Edit: just find the option again.

Main menu (top left) -- Billing -- Billing Info. You can enable/disable Auto Recharge here.

That being said, I will be very happy already with 50 Mbps or even happy with 10 Mbps.

Right now I am getting less than 10 Mbps at quite some locations with Eight 4G.

I have actually much better experiences with Maxx S$10 plan (usually 5G SA/NSA) other than some glitches (eg: stuck in 4G despite good 5G signal and need to use Airplane mode to go back to 5G SA).

I am pleasantly surprised by the Tri-Band Carrier Aggregation both by the Xiaomi phone and the provider, Starhub at my location. Both must work together well to achieve the 4G+ 3CA. As for my 300Mbps 4G China router, it do not have CA .

TP-Link have a Archer MR505 router but it is only 2CA and not 3CA unfortunately.
In Malaysia, due to the limitations set by ISP, this MR505 model is modded there for unlimited Hotspot usage within the quota. Speed achievable by this router is typically 50 - 90Mbps which is quite good in daily use.
BTW, MR505 is built for 24/7 usage but a bit pricey.

Let me check again using Poco X6 Pro and Poco X7 Pro, now that I have access to Singtel/M1/Starhub 4G network and Singtel/M1 5G network.

I cannot find the IDD rate in the Eight website.

For Simba, I remember is 1 cent per 30 seconds for IDD call to US
