I change physical bad network foc
For me ok leh hmm, network quite stable :)
There is a 60-days grace period after expiry of plan.

Your balance should be quite safe.
Huh? Serious ah? Wahlau I chiong down today to get it replaced:(
If auto-renewal not enabled and it's less than 60 days since the last plan expired, you can manually activate a new plan from your app.

Since you've lost your SIM card, I'd suggest getting a replacement from one of the service centres. Can get them to help activate your line there.
Yup yup, collected my replacement and activated on the spot :)

Thanks guys!

Good to have it done asap as well, just in case.

You might want to consider adding a passkey via the eight app or desktop website, so no need for OTP in the future.

Or if you have multiple eight accs, can just congregate them to be managed under the line you always use.

OK, to net it out, 5G can penetrate buildings, lifts, and parking garages about as well as 4G LTE can provided you're connected to a Singtel or Antina tower offering low band (700 MHz) 5G coverage. Yes, you usually have to pay more for 5G service. But if you've been avoiding a 5G plan because you're worried about whether you'll get any 5G service inside buildings, lifts, and parking garages, that shouldn't be a concern. (SIMBA doesn't currently offer low band 5G but also doesn't charge anything extra for their 5G service.)

Obviously there are many subscribers who don't see the value in paying extra for 5G. That's still true even with low band 5G deployments. Likewise, many subscribers don't want to pay extra for a better QCI (better network priority). That's fine, too.
Indeed, absolutely no meaning to me for the extra premium for 5G plan, it is just cosmetic and even if it is max ready, I don't even need that kinda speed. As for QCI, nevermind too, if it is congested, just do some offline navigation, reading, movies and mp3 listening if bored, I am not indispensable enough to be online 24/7 anyway. 😂

Is there any name transfer (change name) update lately? Or still the same, cannot transfer for 8?

From Google AI if you want to transfer account from MVNOs (Not a full list)

MVNOs (Virtual Operators)
VIVIFI: Allows users to perform an ownership transfer during the port-in process.
Circles.Life: Allows for transfer of ownership of a mobile number to a new owner during the sign-up process.
Zero1: Enables transfer of ownership when porting in a number from a different owner.
ZYM Mobile: Specifically noted to allow change of ownership during port-in, particularly useful for moving from Singtel/M1 plans.

Normally, will existing subscriber's plan be updated as well? Or only new joiners?
I just managed to join last week and ported successfully yesterday.

Eight Just Updated their plans to include UNLIMITED Talktime and more data. Probably in response to SIMBA's recent update.

https://www.eight.com.sg/critical-information-summary/

Website not updated but their Critical Information Summary is.

Finally see changes to the APAC roaming countries too, with more countries added although only the 5G plans has the significant change. It would be better if they can classify APAC into one group instead of two different groups.

The $11.80 Fortune Eight plan seems redundant now compared with the other plans and also other MVNOs at that price range.

All subscriber's plan will be updated as well. For eight the changes usually takes effect at next renewal, not immediate.

Oh, nice for noticing this as well.

Now they have 2 APAC categories
- https://www.eight.com.sg/mobile/roaming

Asia Pacific (APAC) Roaming
Asia Pacific (APAC) Roaming – 20 countries

And good to finally have japan included in the 14.80 plan instead of just the 18 plan previously

Seems like the banner on eight site has been updated

- Local data upsize for non 18SGD plan to start at 528GB or 628GB depending on tier
- Now all plans have the same SG MY ID TH HK local data bundle, with HK being new addition
- Added 20 countires (APAC 20) for 5G plans
- Added Bangladesh and HK to the origina APAC roaming found in the 4g Plan
- Added unlimited (capped at 3000 ) voice minutes

This list is compared with the Nov 2025 archive org data which is the last recorded capture on archive org
