Wah kao, today my Eight 5G no connection for a long while in the afternoon.

Calls from overseas never get picked-up by my phone on eight. Where I have given, the number, they complain my number is not reachable. But local calls come through.

Does anyone else have this issue? How did you resolve it?

I think may have elected to block overseas calls. Go to Eight app, Service preferences and unblock.

It’s a bit “impolite.“ First of all, Shopee coins are still “cash.” They can be used to offset any purchase, including purchases from 3rd party sellers. Ignore that part. Second, the 3rd party sellers tend(ed) to make their money when there’s a top up promotion. Paying $7.60 for an $8 renewal is better than paying $8, but it’s not nearly as good as paying $4 (the effective cost for those who took advantage of a top up promotion).

But yeah, it’s not great. Amazon is infamous for muscling into market segments that third party sellers invented on their platform.

Probably location dependant.

Supposedly eight 5G uses the same infrastructure as StarHub 5G (shared with M1).

I live and work in the west, my StarHub Prepaid S 5G and M1 Maxx 5G are not bad. Of course there will be small areas where 5G signal will be lost.

Does eight even have early termination charges now?

The latest CIS does not show that. You should be able to port out immediately.

Fast, go to their service centre to ask. They can easily take more than 3 days to reply emails, if they do at all.

Otherwise just port out to see if they'd accept or reject.
