Try manually switching networks to see if you get any better results. In Thailand Eight roams onto TrueMove and DTAC. The same company owns both networks, but I don't think they've fully merged their networks yet. In Malaysia you can try switching between DigiCelcom, Maxis, and U Mobile. There are two underlying 5G networks in Malaysia, so if you observe any differences on 5G they'll likely be between U Mobile and the other two carriers.Any of you face throttling speeds when roaming?
I’m on the 5G plan, but website loads super slowly in Bangkok and KL for me
any advise?
It's also sometimes possible for 5G to be more congested than 4G in a given area at a given time. You can try disabling 5G to see if you get any better results.
