apologies if this been answered before. My port in failed because the details provided when signing up were incorrect.

I sent email to the support/customer service with all right info. Typically how long it takes for them to respond? Any clue whether going to their shop will be able to solved the issue?

Seems eight 4g was quite ok in woodlands…….. but most other places cmi

Ditto.
Actually I feel just lock in 4g more stable and steady from my commute from north to cbd. At least can slowly load YouTube and Instagram better than 5g.
If outside, 5g speed beats 4g anytime.

Eight 4G at times is worst then Simba and mostly lag on steaming video. EIght 5G still OK for the time being but may get worst in future.

I can see quite some complaints from Singtel and Singtel MVNO users in this forum about worse 5G experiences after the shutdown of 5G NSA network.

M1/Starhub 5G network (shared the 5G infrastructure) seem to catch up. But again there will be complaints as both SingTel and M1/Starhub 5G networks have weak signal areas.

eight 5G may be worse than Starhub MNO 5G plans and Starhub Prepaid 5G plans now those plans are labeled as 5G+ and have higher priority.

giga, eight and MyRepublic 5G plans do not have the 5G+ label. CUniq does not even offer 5G plans now.

In this forum, eight, SIMBA, Zym and Zero1 are are the top four in terms of thread post count. There are very few posts about Starhub and M1 MNO plans.

In the real world, probably MNO plans will be the top four, Singtel, Starhub, SIMBA and M1.

This forum is more geared toward lower cost SIM Only plans.
Which 2 roaming is most popular in this forum?

You are right that Eight 5G speed is weaker then Starhub MNO prepaid 5G . For Starhub prepaid I can get 1000mbps download speed but only 400Mbps for Eight 5G.

It's the same 5G network, it depends on the environment like how near you're to the cell, signal quality, congestion lvl etc
Its possible to hit 1G with eight but its harder to find the right spot and condition than singtel

Results from earlier today

Anyone know if the 1 year plan promotions, specifically $108 fortune eight plan can be purchased from Shopee for coins earned thru ShopeeVIP?

Seriously speaking, lion city has relatively poor coverage and speed compared to other cities, if compared to Taiwan, they are significant better.
On the contrary, i find the local 4G connection and speed are very ok, almost streaming 2 channels of 1080p youtube simultaneously all the time if at home, notwithstanding peak period in crowded locations of cos.

Could it be phone's model that is not able to keep good connection? There is difference in data stability especially if you phone is running hot with too many background processing, the processor will throttle the performance.

Hi Gurus, seeking advice on below:
1. Do you think 8 will have APAC data roll over? Heard SIMBA has it.

2. Is it easy to convert Physical to eSim? Looking to change phone to iPhone Duo which is eSim only worldwide.

they are not the "best" for response on email
Yeah, went down to one of their service centre. The staff helped me to raise a request to cancel the plan.

I will receive a discount code (same value) to apply for the plan again with the correct ID.

1. Self-Serve eSIM Swaps
Customers no longer need to wait or hassle support to change or replace their eSIM. They can now do it completely on their own directly via the app!

*Where: Service Preferences > Manage my SIM > Swap to eSIM*

Cost: Just a small, nominal fee of $5 ---

2. Alternatively, you can visit an eight service centre or retailer to request the SIM swap in person.
