app esim replacement i have not tried before, u can try it and confirm if there is fee since u can just simply go in to app to try.

$5 fee was mentioned on eight facebook when they launched this service.


at customer service physical shop, confirmed it is free, i just changed it in apr 2026.

I can see quite some complaints from Singtel and Singtel MVNO users in this forum about worse 5G experiences after the shutdown of 5G NSA network.

M1/Starhub 5G network (shared the 5G infrastructure) seem to catch up. But again there will be complaints as both SingTel and M1/Starhub 5G networks have weak signal areas.

eight 5G may be worse than Starhub MNO 5G plans and Starhub Prepaid 5G plans now those plans are labeled as 5G+ and have higher priority.

giga, eight and MyRepublic 5G plans do not have the 5G+ label. CUniq does not even offer 5G plans now.

My friend having a 4G lte sim router wanted to setup at home. He is choosing which sim card to purchase.
So far I found Eight 4G lag behind Maxx 4G at times.
Have you tried Singtel or it's mvno 4G ??
He need a cheap plan with stable 4G speed

Never really liked any 4G plan. My testing shows any non-SIMBA 5G plan is better than any 4G plan. For example, Maxx 5G is better than SingTel hi! 4G plan.

I have tested SingTel hi! 4G plan, eight 4G plan and CUniq 4G plan, SingTel hi! 4G plan was the best. But there are no more SingTel hi! 4G plan to new users now.

You can always ask your friend to try out CL and M1 Maxx 4G plan to see how it goes. If not good, try the 4G plan from SingTel MVNO like Zym.
