Are they better than Normal toothbrush

For my case yes. The areas behind wisdom tooth are especially difficult to reach or clean when using conventional toothbrush. That caused lots of issues to me until changed to electronics ones.

Yes, Oral B round head ones all can use with almost all their Electric Toothbrush.

16 hours is normal for expensive rechargeable toothbrushes.

I saw the Sensodyne Novamin selling 5.90 at venus beauty shops. Going to dump Ntuc for them. Novamin works well for me so far. :s12:

This novamin stuff might be good but will it intro extra chemical into our body?

Lucky I cancelled order for rechargable and go for doubleAA type. I see the charging speed I give up

Quick tip, if after a period of usage, you think you need a boost in performance relative to the higher performance models, a quick and dirty way is to just buy a second pair of electric toothbrush. Left hand 1pc, right hand 1pc. Divide mouth into half and use 1 toothbrush per half.

This way it's not wasteful + you still do get the "benefits".

You'd still need to floss, be it water or string based. Buying a $$$ Oral B 99999 does not mean that it'd be cleaner than a basic AA Oral B with 7,700 osc/min "2D" brushing (no pulsations) + flossing. In fact i am not even sure if it'd be cleaner than 2 x Oral B AA basic electric toothbrushes.

Any recommendations for a good water flosser? I have been using a Philips airfloss for 2 years. It's working OK but no warning on low battery, straight away stop when using it half way is damn tu lan. Philips product is really lousy in design. Why so difficult to give low battery warning light like oral b electric toothbrush?

Anyone can buy from this seller? He sell very cheap but can't select shipping.. https://shopee.sg/unioncamera.sg/788092990?version=301a8fad3f21a4ec76e7225440ba0951

Offer this ebay seller at S$15.99?

https://www.ebay.com.sg/itm/Oral-B-...=item4b470883b2:g:bHYAAOSwmS1bLhds:rk:11:pf:0

Remember last time i bought a few of these at usd 9.99 (free shipping) from Amazon FSSG. (that's around S$12.50 to $13.20 depending on foreign exchange then). That's why i was using 2 x electrics simultaneously then (take care not to press too hard, don't worry about too much about overbrushing and wearing down of the enamel, you won't).

Is electric better than manual?

Posted the comparisons with links from NCBI earlier on. Go check ncbi.gov yourself. Some studies say same, some studies reported better.

I think if you really have the technique and concentration to manual brush aided with a good manual toothbrush (not cheap also), i believe manual brush can get very close to electric.

But the issue is - can you? I don't think i have the technique / skill to brush that good. Electric takes that out from the whole equation.

Can, 5 year old just use that EBS-17A soft bristles replacements that i gave you earlier. They are also like just 50% of the area size vs the adult ones, so quite suitable even for say 12 months (just be careful not to press too hard for toddler age for those attempting).

I was using some usd 3.70 oral b electric, actually they are the same stuff. Worse, cannot replace brush head one, so LLST had to buy like 10pcs of those.

Was getting this one then. 1 x AA.
Actually not much diff, it's a basic toothbrush operating at 5,600 oscillations per min, no pulsations.

The DB4010K is at 7,600 osc/min. No pulsations.

Having used the oral b genius 9000, and sonicare HX9924/46, my preference goes towards the oral B for its mechanical like clean.

The deep clean mode for the oral b genius 9000 is really really really solid, compared to the same mode on the oral b 5000, and 7000. It is totally night and day.

I have at least 2 electric brushes, and one is on charge, so no issues about running out of charge for the day.

But having done 2 deep cleaning sessions with my dentist, I would urge anyone to visit their dentist for regular checks, do not let these fancy toothbrushes make you think your teeth are cleaner than what your dentist can do for you.

Sure one......any drink that is below pH 5 would start screwing with the enamel.

I drink quite a fair bit of diet pepsi/coke too, believe it or not. No issue for the teeth though, coz i'd immediately (really literally within 30 seconds of finishing the drink) rinse with water 3 times after finishing.

Don't bother using simi straws or what, as recommended by dentists, that doesn't really help....you can still feel the grittiness of the enamel after you have drank these acidic sodas.
