I've been trying to make an account on Endowus but they require too much information, it's really off putting. Why do they even need to know where I work and put down an office number. Are they going to call up my boss? Why isn't this kind of information optional.

I did. For the basic information. I unticked share cpf and employment information because it was optional. Now a few steps later, it's required. Plus I don't know why they need this anyway.
If you are not comfortable, then don’t open with them lor.

They are a regulated FI after all. Like a bank. So I don’t see any issue providing.

Office no can always put ur own mobile

When you wanna open bank account also similar thing what. The reason is because of KYC requirement to know your source of funds/source of wealth. So that the account profile is in line with your age and occupation. So can catch money laundering. If you got nothing to hide then don’t see the issue. They won’t bo daiji call your boss or work. They won’t ask you if it’s not a requirement by the regulator.

Stashaway never asked for this info. And if it's required they shouldn't state it's optional in the beginning.

Maybe it's because you get your own custodian account in your own name with endowus? Stashaway uses pooled investors money and hold investments in a pool. Idk.

One thing to note about the recent Stashaway's announcement of them maintaining the 1.9%pa via rebates is that the 1.9%pa is gross yield. So with them being unable to continue maintaining the 1.9% and dropping it to 1.4%, the subsequent net yield will be even lower.

Endowus has recently decreased the net yield for its CashSmart Enhanced product to 1.7% - 2%pa, do note that this is net yield.

What the latest returns? Thinking if I should move funds from simple to cash smart and combine with cpf investment.

About 3 months in [Cash Smart Enhanced], the past 1M's yield has declined noticeably as compared to the first 2 months.
Judging by the trend, likely a full year's return would be =<2% net of fees.
