It's not a bad video and quite updated too.

Covers most of the bases, and I do use some strategies highlighted, eg Endowus - Infinity 500 for my CPF OA, and S27 for my SRS.

The past 1.5 years are very good years for stock market investors, so some YouTubers will brag how successful they are. Just be careful with their sales pitch.

Personally, if I wanted to watch a YouTube video, I jolly well know how to use the search function on YouTube.

Sometimes quite irritating to see all the YouTube spam appearing. Sometimes in multiple threads too. Maybe poster is one of the youtubers trying to up his views...

I think some videos were honestly not bad. I followed 1 of the chaps on YouTube, after seeing his methods were v similar to mine.

Just use endowus for less than 1 month, the result for default 40:60 is just a bit green (around 0.1%-0.2%), how do your guys result?

Investing is not the same as a fixed deposit. You're not going to get gains every month. Sometimes it's up, sometimes it's down. In fact, it can be down for a whole year.
It is not wise to decide on a portfolio based on 1 year's results, much less 1 month.

Having said that, all my endowus portfolios are up 3% for the last 1 month. A bit of a run from mid Dec onwards.
All equities though. No bonds.

Mine start in 10 Dec, -0.6%

I would understand it is a long game, but if no increase over months, it does not make sense to me, it cant be jumped by 20% (as an example) in a short period after put for a few years.

Not necessarily. It depends on your chosen portfolio. Heavily weighted small value portfolios are known to underperform for years and then suddenly shoot up to outperform the market index.

The most important thing is to know why you chose the portfolio that you did. Not just base it off a single month or single year's performance.

but a Pf cannot b using CPF+cash : - cos CPF treatmt is diff/ source of rev diff!
