Asking eSIM experts here. Using Google Pixel 6a as an example and you’re using main number with eSIM and secondary number with nano SIM.

In an event the phone spoiled, how fast & convenient to switch to a new phone with the eSIM number? What are the steps like? Thanks!
That entirely depends on your eSIM provider. How fast and convenient your telco will send you a new eSIM qr.

To get a new Esim is fast, can be within mins (M1- through App and CL - online) but you need to deactivate the old Esim first in order to get the replacement Esim to work. For M1, once you deactivated the Esim, a new Esim QR code will appears in the App. As for CL, you can request through CL website under manage order.

Done e-sim transfers from one phone to another several times.

It’s instant if you have the QR code originally sent to you. Just disable existing phone e-sim, set it up on the new phone. Delays involve tedium of having to contact your telco to disable existing e-sim profile (if you lose your phone for instance), or if you dont have the QR code on hand.

e-sim is especially convenient if you lose your phone overseas. Happened to me but because of e-sim, my line up and running within minutes with my spare phone. If I was on physical sim, I will only be able to have my line back when I return to SG

Depends on phone.

If iOS, need to have WA normal + WA business.

If Android, depends if the manufacturer allow dual apps. If yes, can have WA normal for both. If not, same as iOS.

Anyone using Ubigi? Do you install when you reach your destination or in SG?
I used Ubigi during my oversea trip last year. I got the esim installed and purchased the plan a couple of days before my departure from Sgp. At that time, it was a 30 days plan and duration started when i purchased the plan. Now the esim is inactive and still in my phone.

Hey guys!

Been researching the esim plans. So far, the cheapest non-M1 network plan is the MyRepublic's $17.95 5G plan which uses StarHub network right?

Yes, currently cheapest esim plan is MyRepublic's $10 4G plan or the Circles Life $10 plan.
But if I want to be on StarHub network I suppose I will have to sign up for the MYR $17.95 plan.

Btw, another question. eSIM cannot store contacts like the normal sim card rite?

Since esim not physical therefore I don't think possible to store anything on the esim.
