Will play with the PH-1 first before getting the 360 camera..the way Andy Rubin describe the camera..it's cater to future variant of the essential phone...let's see how ..time will tell.. in the meanwhile ..just test out ph-1 and see how..haha

oneplus traditionally always had a very good custom rom community even without project treble. ultimately it's down to how many good devs over at xda have the phone. so it really depends on how well Essential phone is sold vs the OP5T. Anyway it will take some time for the dev community to move to proj treble, till then, everyone will still be running on the traditional custom roms.

Can buy liao..

For me its a toss up between the Pixel 2 XL or the Essential.

Currently using the Pixel XL (1st Generation), still in good working condition,

maybe buy the Essential and replace the Motorola Nexus 5 as the

spare phone.
