why are you worried about what others think?
if 64 gb is enough for your needs, there is no need to "conform" and waste $200

At first i felt 64gb is enuf. After all my current 6S+ also 64gb & i have barely used half.

Then i read other opinions & thought about it. Im already spending over $1000 on it, what is another $200? Besides even though i dont save much high res photos or 4k vids on the phone, each app update can be quite substantial. Some even close to 1 gb.

Needless to say iOS updates are even larger. So rather than end up having to decide which app to delete due to lack of space, i rather get 256gb.

Btw dont open the box yet. Once its open the resale value drops quite a bit. Think carefully first.

I was in your position before getting 1 , and now after got 1 i felt differently. Lol

Weird. I placed the order. I got an email saying my order is processing. My credit card was charged a few hours later. But when I go to Apple store account, I could not find the order (both web and Apple store app).

Did I just bought for someone else. Ha.

My logic is, if i am going to spend so much on a phone, i might as well go for the biggest, if your finance allow.

But giving yesterday situation, just whack and get a phone is more important than anything else.

Back to this storage space, i always said if you can manage your storage, then it shouldn't be a problem. I went from a iphone 7 128GB to a iphone 8 64GB, storage space reduce by half, but i have no issue with that. My bare minimum requirement is 64GB for myself. I take lots of photos with my phone, so are videos, and esp iphone 8 now support 4K60fps, i tend to take more. I still have around 40GB left. I do not treat my phone as a storage device like some other does. When i run low on storage, i just move the photos and videos to my PC. I do keep some in my phone, but i do not need to keep ALL. Everytime i go oversea, i will move the photos inside my phone to my PC as back up. This way, i always have enough space in my phone.

Some people are just lazy to back up their stuffs, hence they need to buy a bigger storage phone. Most importantly is how you use your phone.

Tbh my phone pattern goes like this, from s8>iphone 7>op3t>xiaomi a1>iphone x. I tried make myself like android, but the mess I just cant tolerate and at the same time the updates. Its just too painful to use.

Where else for iOS, its sleek and the updates keep on coming it. Example the iphone 5s, a 4 yr old phone that still get updated to the latest phone, well it could not perform the best like how the latest iphone does. But you are forking a huge amount for a phone that last you in the next coming years. Well this applies to those who dony change phone that often.

Hmmmmmmmmm.

For storage, im fine with any. All my photos and videos were back up to google photo as i have huge storage there. :)
